We had a wonderful stay at the hotel which has a amazing history reflected in its layout and furnishings. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and very accommodating with our small dog. Dinner and breakfast were both good and the overall value for money about right.

“Romantic setting - fabulous Hattonchatel Château”

Our Danish host went out of his way to treat all guests royally. So friendly, helpful and a good, caring host. Yes its an old chateau, but its FABULOUS! Not super luxury, but for the price more than sufficient. Location to die for, drinks in the garden before dinner. Garden has spectacular views over the French countryside. Relaxing, beautiful setting for dinner, like a STUNNING ballroom! Blazing fire burning in this most romantic setting!! oK no TV in room, but they should keep it that way. Breakfast was very good. Dinner needs some tweaking, good but not fab. we do want to thank the team for a wonderful stay at Hattonchatel Château! If we ever in area we would return!

The place is just magical. Stunning middleage-like castle with beautiful grounds and fascinating view on the Woëvre plain. Place is very calm and perfect for cozy weekends and hiking.

Area around the Chăteau is picturesque, and the Chăteau is beautiful. Welcoming staff friendly and the evening meal in the Restaurant was excellent.

A beautiful chateau in a wonderful setting. It has an authentic ambience, and the staff are cheerful and very helpful. It's a perfect place to stop off en route so one night is perfect. The rooms are grand if a little dated. There are no in room facilities (no fridge/coffee or tea making facilities) so in that sense if has a basic feel, but the rooms are clean spotless and there's lots of hot water for a deep bath. The gardens are peaceful and relaxing with an amazing view over the valleys and villages...perfect of a summer evening drinking wine.

We loved the history, charm and authenticity of this hotel, as well as it’s superb location set on top of a hill, with 280 degree panoramic views across the countryside for as far as 53km into the distance. Very peaceful, stunning views and a lovely authentic French chateau experience. I should add we slept really well, and the shower was lovely.
