“Comfortable and hiker-friendly stay”

Traveller’s Villa was an excellent base for hiking Stage 8 of the Pekoe Trail. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, with the added bonus of offering dinner on-site if you prefer to stay in. What stood out was how well set up the villa is for hikers. The host provides a convenient tuk-tuk service, taking you to the trailhead and picking you up at the end of your section, which made the whole experience seamless and stress-free.

“Perfect stay in a quiet area”

Everything about this place was perfect! The area was really lovely and quiet with some great walk options. The hosts were incredible and so helpful and the breakfasts and dinners were really delicious and huge.

We had a ground floor room with easy access to the lovely garden. Our room was a reasonable size with a big bathroom. No AC or fridge but we didn’t need AC as it is in a cooler area. Host was lovely and has very good English. He was able to suggest many places to visit in the area. Food was yummy. We ate dinner and breakfast each day. I would happily stay there again.

Traveller's Villa is the perfect rest stop along the Pekoe Trail, with the perfect host! The rooms and garden are beautiful, a little oasis. Amazing food - especially the hoppers for breakfast - and there was no issue in catering for a vegan diet! The host was very helpful in making our stay comfortable and provided advice and assistance with our travel plans - including driving us 3 hours in his tuk tuk to get a train! Highly recommend this accommodation.

“Tasting the Tea Fields”

The staff were very much on the ball with thoughts and ideas on what to do and where to go in the area of our accommodation. Quite a few options were available of traditional foods were available for our meals. Laundry was also available on request.

“Lovely homestay in a newly built apartment among tea plantation”

Exceptional value for money in a delightful homestay with a kind and friendly host. We stayed twice in different rooms, both of which are modern and well fitted out making for a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed. The home-prepared dinner and breakfast were excellent. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the tea plantation was blissful.

A fantastic place to stay. Peaceful, clean and amazing staff. The perfect stop over for anyone on the Pekoe Trail.

We booked for one night but stayed for three as the Villa was so modern and comfortable. We were hiking the pekoe trail and just used tuk tuks and o get back here. The owners have great English and go out of their way to help. Fantastic shower, great wifi, comfortable beds and excellent food.

The owner is very nice and super helpful, he has great tips about things to do and see in the area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the shower is nice and warm.

Situate in a beautifull area near a tea plantation. The host served us a wonderful dinner. You can also book trips with him but sadly we had no time.

It’s right next to the tea plantation but reasonable price. Host was very helpful. Breakfast was great.

Staying at the misty mountains has to be one of my highlights of Sri Lanka, the warmest welcome and the best tea are served at your arrival. Clive and his wife Chryshantie know what hospitality means, the meals & breakfast were absolutely amazing!! It’s located close to many hiking spots, and if you want to hike devils staircase upwards it’s a good starting point as I did it. We stayed two nights there and had the upper room. t had a nice terrace, was very spacious and everything looked brand new. The owner was very welcoming, helpful and shared a lot of tips what to do around. He served us a welcome drink. The breakfast was incredibly good and plentiful!
