“Does the job for a quick stay in Twain's town”

No bed bugs on inspection, and the room was generally quite clean. I wear flip flops/shower shoes in most budget stays as standard to prevent contracting infections, but I would almost have considered forgoing them in our bathroom as it looked pretty clean and the bathtub had surprisingly few stains. The lobby had a no smoking sign whilst smelling of old tobacco BUT room had no lingering smoke smells so that was good. Check-in staff seemed a little odd (had to repeat things a few times, but perhaps he was struggling with my accent) but very friendly and efficient. Everything in the room worked, appeared to have been renovated within the past 5-10yrs or maybe less, things didn't feel too dated or worn out. New-ish TV with normal channels but also Netflix/Disney/Amazon etc capabilities to use your own accounts on which is nice to have and a bit of a rarity in cheap motels.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located in Hannibal — a charming little town with interesting history. It’s the hometown of Mark Twain and inspired the setting of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, so it's a great place to explore if you're into literature or American history.

I have stayed at this motel many times over the last few years - I have family in nearby towns and the location is easy to get to from all necessary highways. I drive as well as fly different times. The staff were very responsive to my questions and requests. The pool was open for my son and granddaughter, which was a nice surprise, since it has been closed during all my previous visits.

Clean roomy and good location

Broken air conditioner, room was very hot, dirty floor/surfaces, bathroom door was broken, towel was falling apart, didn't get room type that I reserved

How close it was, that is about it. Some of the staff was nice. The price wasn’t too bad but definitely was hoping for a better value. The tv channels were nice and decent water pressure
