“Felt like home”

I felt like I went HOME for holidays. Excellent service, 5-10 min walk from the bus station, if you use scooters or bikes is even better. At night we could use taxis to come to the accommodations as any car is allowed after certain hours. Very welcoming and with a nice fresh made breakfast.

The location is excellent, as it is very close to the temple and within walking distance of local transportation. The owner was extremely helpful, especially with arranging an advance booking for the temple visit. This was a great arrangement that I would highly recommend, particularly for first-time tourists.

“Calm stay in a beautiful area with excellent rooms”

The place is in a very calm and quiet area which was exactly what we wanted. The room is was comfortable and tidy, with a nice big bed and balcony where you can see the green hills. The staff was very kind and friendly, and served us a local breakfast on the sunny terrace. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the calm area close to the Xi lake and the temples.

The room was so beautiful and the cats of the property were so cute. The girl from reception was very kind to book us a ticket when we weren’t able to do it, we really appreciated it. Breakfast provided was a nice touch as well.

The owner was amazingly attentive and helped us figure out the best way to reach every spot we wanted to go to. She also helped us organise our taxi from the accommodation back to Hangzhou train station. Amazing value for money and a different home made breakfast every morning.

The host is extremely welcoming, and the room is quite spacious, complete with a lovely chill-out area. The location is incredibly close to Lingyin Temple, and the facts is that now it free admission.

my partner and me stayed with dans sea guest house was beautiful and more than we expected. first we got upgraded to a more spacious room with a huge balcony where we could see and smell the Osmanthus tree from. When we added an additional day it was easily possible. The classic chinese breakfast provided is prepared fresh, every morning just for you and very tasty. additionally, I would like to thank Dan for helping me with my luggage that I needed to leave in the house and send by mail to a different city. She was very helpful. The area is perfect if you want to experience the magic of west lake and the sorrounding temples. Thank you for everything. We would definitely come back.

Dan's Sea Guesthouse is a treasure! We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful homestay! We were visiting from Canada, and this was the most magical place to start our travels throughout China! Hangzhou is a gorgeous city and Dan's Sea Guesthouse is without a doubt in the best part of the city if you want to spend time at Xihu and visited the surrounding temples and longjing tea farms. I would come back just to eat breakfast at Dan's again! The staff here is amazing and made us feel so welcomed. I 100000% recommend staying here! The cats are an amazing bonus - so cute!

Staff was very friendly, provided suggestions for nearby attractions, upgraded my room for free, and allowed me to store my bags on the day I checked out. The two cats were very cute!
