“Lovey rustic place.”
Great location, spacious room. Yarela is lovely and attentive. The grounds are very pretty. The place is rustic and authentic. It felt like we were living like the locals which we love. It was nice having a washing machine.

“Convenient base for our stay on Rapa Nui / Easter Island”
Pathy, who took care of our stay there, is very nice and responsive to any messages/questions sent to her. She picked us up from the airport and greeted us with leis (and also dropped us off when we headed back to fly out!), and speaks fluent French and Spanish, and some English. Kahina Lodge is well-located, in between the Hanga Roa "town centre" and the airport (and walkable to both). It's just at the southern end of the commercial part of the main street, and a 5-10min walk away from most of the food/restaurant options in town, and around 15-20min walk from the sunset spot of Ahu Tahai. There is also ample parking both on the street and in a back lot. The room is spacious and the shelving was super helpful for storage. Wifi signal was decent, and a hairdryer was provided. There's also a communal kitchenette, washing machine, dining table, and living room space.

“An excellent hostel with a welcoming hostess”
Our hostess was very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect French. She even helped find a guide , Tongariki, who made our week. The hostel is nicely decorated, the room spacious and the use of the kitchen saved us a lot of money. There is also the free use of a washing machine. The garden is lovely and the sculptures and art are very nice. Its central location is perfect for the shops and the seafront.
