On our arrival the Hotel reception was empty and the doors locked. We arrived mid afternoon at 1500 as per our email response, expecting to relax after a long journey! We had to ring the hotel number and initially it went to voicemail. Eventually received a call, explaining that our room and hotel key was in a secure key box and gave us the code. But was unsure which room we had been allocated. Very unprofessional. We had emailed prior to our stay to confirm that the restaurant was open, on receiving confirmation we booked a table. When we went down for dinner, there was no Restaurant! We eventually worked our way around the building and found a restaurant and enquired if this was the Hotel Grüner Baum restaurant? The answer was no. But we had a table. We can only assume that our table was booked by the Hotel. It transpires that the Restaurant was part of the Hotel, but has now been brought as part of an Italian Restaurant enterprise. This is by no means what is advertised on the website, and gives a false impression and is mis-leading. The car park, is not directly attached to the Hotel, but located by a church. It is not secure. Breakfast was limited and unwelcoming. The advertised outside area was un-kept, and there was no bar, again all mis-leading if you are looking to enjoy some outside space prior to your onward journey. We were disappointed. A member of staff at Breakfast did not speak English as advertised.

“Perfectly located hotel in a charming German town”

The hotel is perfectly located, just off the motorway. Staff was super friendly and they had nice breakfast. The room was comfortable and provided everything we needed.

Huge family room, with separate bedroom kettle and a nice range of teas and helpful small fridge, no freezer compartment. Staff were helpful once we found them. WiFi worked. Nice bakery opposite with great cakes. Didn't have breakfast.. Breakfast available in the hotel 6.30-9am. we didn't understand the timings or if breakfast was included or not. We were kindly given a coffee anyway. I realised our German was a bit rusty on our first day in the country, so that didn't help.

We booked late and arrived just before checkin. The accommodation was clean and spacious. Having a bedroom with the apartment when travelling as a family is a bonus. We will stay again. Staff for the evening checking and morning checkout were polite and helpful - 5 stars for them! Bonus: parking by the property and a bakery across the road!

We checked into this hotel on the evening of 26.12. There was no staff at the hotel, but we contacted the hotel representative by phone and took the key to the room in the box. The overnight stay in this hotel was comfortable! Clean, warm and quiet ☺️

The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable the staff were without exception helpful, cheerful and welcoming. I can't fault a single thing with this hotel!

Fine hotel for a short stay.

“A clean simple guest house”

This is a simple bed-and-breakfast-style hotel in a local village, we chose it to be conveniently close to a wedding we were attending. It looked a little tired in places, the staff were friendly enough.

Close to the A2 motorway. Large comfortable room. There was no pressure to pay quickly. Nice service.

That was our second stay at hotel and once again above expectation. Super clean and quiet hotel and the small cooler in the room for drinks was a nice surprice. We will book again to stay for a night at our return journey from holiday.
