Overview
This hostel is on Sweden’s scenic West Coast, 300 metres from Källvik’s sea cliffs. Set in a refurbished 1800s building, it provides simple, modern rooms, free WiFi and a covered furnished terrace. Fjällbacka town is a 15-minute drive away. All of Kustnära Vandrarhem’s rooms have shared bathrooms. A fully equipped shared kitchen is available. During summer season, a daily breakfast buffet is served. The hostel’s common room has a TV. During warmer months, guests can grill in the garden, which includes a playground. A bookable sauna is also available. Guests can swim from the nearby sea cliffs, and staff are happy to arrange canoe rental and fishing guides. Walking paths can be found nearby. Hamburgsund, about 5 minutes’ drive away, has shops and restaurants. Smögen is reached in 30 minutes by car.

Nice Youth hostel for the off-season when it is not busy. Excellent location only few hundred metres from the sea with good place to put the kayak to sea and gorgeous island landscape for paddling.

“Pleasant stay for a single night.”
Good common facilities (kitchen, tv area) outdoor areas where nice. And possibility to hang clothes to dry outside. Breakfast buffet was good.

“A pleasant stay on Sweden’s west coast.”
An added plus was a charger for electric cars. It was only 4.30 kWh but was convenient for staying in rooms downstairs. The garden was nice for breakfast.

“Decent and cute, but might not be worth the price.”
Cozy vintage house, cute decorations and overall vibe, the location is close to a nice promenade by the shore with some really good views, well equipped kitchen that had everything needed and a lot of space.

Hostel is very cozy and quiet. We had free breakfast for Booking Genius and it was very nice.

“Great hostel near Fjällbacka.”
The room, toilet and the shower room were clean. Especially the shower room in the basement floor was really clean and big. There was also swimming facility near the hostel (Källviken badplats). It took like 5-10 minutes by walking. You need to bring your own linen or you can borrow there. The breakfast buffet was also nice to have it.

Location is very nice - a few minutes walk from the sea and a few minutes drive from Hamburgsund. Staff are friendly and helpful

NOTHING , except the closeness to the sea. This was the worst stay for us for a long time! 100 € per night for a very small room in the cellar, next to the outside stairway to the reception. Unacceptable and not the standard for such a price. Guests are not felt to be hosted but ripped off. The common bathrooms were not cleaned on a regular basis. We were really happy to leave this place after two days !! Reminded me of the song " Hotel California" performed by The Eagles.....

“Disappointing.”
Our reservation on booking.com was including linens. On arrival however, linens apparently were not included. Disappointing. Highly overpriced. No love or care.
