The host was very friendly and helpful. The host for breakfast baked us a bread loaf.The room and the shared bathrooms and kitchen were clean and well organized and equipped. The only issue was that the shower was a little bit clogged.

“A lovely home with a personal touch and delicious breakfast”

Very warm welcome from lovely host, Elsa, to her wonderful home. The room I stayed in was cosy, confortable and welcoming. I also very much enjoyed the surprise breakfast of freshly home-baked bread and fresh coffee in the morning! My favourite place to stay on my road trip around Iceland - I just wish I could have stayed longer! (Next time I will!)

The host is a very kind and caring person. Our cottage was very nice and clean like the kitchen and shower rooms as well. Our host even bakes fresh bread for every breakfast. We had a very lovely time and felt right at home in this beautiful surrounding!

A wonderfully friendly and original version of an Icelandic farm guesthouse.

The host was super nice and friendly, she made a home made bread for breakfast! There are also 2 super friendly dogs and surrounding with beautiful views. Felt like staying in icelandic home for a night.

Our stay at Mjoanes was great. The property is very well manteined and the rooms are very pretty. We also loved that the owner made a delicious bread for breakfast for us, a very appreciated gesture!

Everything. I have stayed at Mjóanes before. Elsa is a great host and she takes the time to show you around and make you feel welcome. She also provides fresh bread every morning and gives you access to jams and spreads and so on. Free coffee machine in the kitchen too. The room is spacious and most comfortable. The location is excellent and the value for money is the best in Iceland (at least from all the guesthouses I have stayed in). What makes it even better is that Elsa keeps numerous pets who are all super friendly. She even asked me if I wanted to feed the lambs in the morning. Such a cute place. Well worth the stay. Takk fyrir Elsa. Sjáumst!

It was very clean, cozy and heartwarming. I had everything I needed, even Netflix on the TV in my room. But mostly I loved the animals. One of the dogs was running part of the way beside me on my evening run and one of cats came through my open window at night to say hello. Experiences like this made my stay very special. I had some really good accomodations on my roadtrip in Iceland, but this one was my favorite! :)
