Absolutely not family friendly. Thin walls. Nosy staff who walk around on site, look at your car, ask questions. Check-in feels like an interview. Very extreme reactions if you don't fit the profile.

“Excellent B&B as a base for exploring Hallerbos forest”

Breakfast was excellent, brought to our own room at the time of our choice. There were delicious home made jams and fruit juices, served with a huge choice of breads and pastries.

“Amazing stay”

The owners were amazing, welcoming and really kind. The breakfast was magnificent, all kinds of bread, a good selection of cheeses and ham, along with fruits and yoghurt,,butter and jam ,eggs.....i cannot ask for more 😁 Everything was clean, we had a beautiful view and even a table outside to sit and observe nature. Very peaceful place far away from the city noise with all you need for a wonderful stay! A good place to stay if you want to go to the Waterloo reenactments. We will be back for sure!

“Serene, Tranquil Stay in Forest Setting”

This is an exceptional B&B. Marc and Marleen are warm, friendly and informative hosts. It was like home away from home. Spacious, clean, modern with all necessary amenities. The grounds are spectacular with forest views, gardens and outdoor patio area. Comfy bed, modern climate control and large TV even offering Netflix. Great WiFi. I was there to do photography at the annual Bluebell Festival in the Hallerbos Forest and this B&B was chosen due to its close walking proximity. Breakfast was delivered to my door daily and it was plentiful!! Whatever is your pleasing - cheese, meat, breads, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, tea/coffee. The couple were there all the time to offer assistance and travel tips. I will always cherish my memory of Halle and stay at the B&B Plattestien.

“Magic holiday”

This cannot be described in words. Everything is there as described in the ad, or even better. Lovely hosts, attentive, caring and ready to help. Room equipment elegant, modern and very practical. There is no scale in the form for the rating of the ‘royal’ breakfast with a view on the magic Hallerbos forest (one has to see it in spring!). A collection of information is available on site to help you navigate the area. Would gladly go there again!

The property was very clean, in a beautiful quiet place and the owner was lovely!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room had floor heating which was very nice addition during the cold days. Mark and Marleen included a welcome binder with all the information one might need when visiting a new place, truly remarkable. You can see that both of them really care, they were always available in case of need. And always will you see them with a warm smile! We will definitely be coming back :)

Quiet, secluded and in a lovely part of Belgium. Marc, the host is friendly,kind, thoughtful and wants to make sure your stay is the best it can be. The space is well thought out, if not a little sterile and lacking in character. However, the outside of the b&b is full of character and matches the countryside it sits in. This is no criticism, just an observation and by n means affects the comfort of your stay Special mention should be made of the breakfast should you choose that option. The term all day breakfast could be used as Marc’s thoughtfulness includes a doggie bag should you want to make up a lunch with the breakfast leftovers.

The location is outstanding amnd the breakfast will exceed all your expectations. Fabulous!

Wonderful breakfast served in my room with view over countryside.I was supplied with maps and suggestions for walks. The bluebell woods were in flower so I was able to do many woodland walks.
