A fabulous chalet that had everything we needed with a warm and cosy feel. It’s was a great location with excellent close by facilities and a shuttle services to take you to all local ski fields.

Short walk to the Rythym Sports Hub & bus stop gave us an easy access to the whole Hakuba valley. The lodge was comfortable and well suited to a family stay. Our host Alex was great and very helpful.

One bedroom apartment was a good size and in a good location for Sakka ski lifts. Accommodation bus to the supermarket and back to the train station was extremely useful and easy to request. Would go again but earlier in the ski season

We had the best stay at Big Bear Chalets. Alex was an exceptional host — incredibly responsive, helpful and genuinely invested in making our stay easy and enjoyable. The daily shuttle to the supermarket and on-demand lifts to restaurants made everything so convenient, especially travelling with kids. The location was perfect — just steps from Evergreen Ski School and directly opposite The Pub. Having our own private onsen in the chalet was a real highlight and we used it every day after skiing. The kids absolutely loved it.

The location is fantastic - 200m walk to the lift and almost ski back to the lodge (if the snow's good enough). The apartment is clean and modern. The kitchen is limited, but generally sufficient.

The chalet was very comfortable and perfect for our family. It was well fitted out and the beds were generous and comfy. The support from the team in terms of transfers made the trip.

“Stunning Chalet”

Absolutely stunning chalet. Staff picked us up from the bus terminal. Did daily supermarkets runs, took us to our dinner reservations and took us to Iwatake ski resort. Extremely comfortable, lots of room, great heating.

Excellent location for Happo One access. Apartment is a great size, super warm and cosy and has everything you need. Staff were super helpful, shuttling us around town whenever we needed. Rabbit Hole next door is great for a post ski drink and easy food.

Short walk to Sakka lifts and beautiful forest location with lots of trees. Apartments well appointed for home cooking. Staff exceptional and help to shuttle guests around to restaurants and supermarket.

The host and his team were amazing. Very thorough with instructions, good tips, and offered great drop off services to ski fields, shops and dinner reservations. We had the perfect family ski trip at Big Bear.

“Brilliant affordable winter wonderland chalet at fantastic ski resort”

The chalet is fantastic such a cozy place to return to after a big day on the slopes. The onsen is absolute bliss! A quick walk to lifts or easy to catch bus to various resorts. The restaurant IzaKaya Kaz next door was fabulous well worth making a booking. The pub great for western food. Great service from the hosts if you need lifts to supermarkets or restaurants. This is our second year returning and loved it both times. We had to make adjustments to our trip having been stuck in Australia due to cyclone and we were very lucky to be able to adjust our dates as late in the season. Snow was amazing no lift queues and excellent lift pass prices.
