“Recommend for a short ski/board trip :)”

We stayed for 3 nights and our stay was comfortable, with western breakfast provided daily! Our room was a typical jp sized room, so we could just open our two luggage and have just a little leeway to move about in the room. We liked the convenience of having the toilet within the room which helped with managing the curfew/hot water hours. Staff (Monica) was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in slightly earlier when we reached and for letting us keep our luggage in the lodge past check out while we explored the rest of Hakuba. Thank you to the team again for our pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Would recommend to anyone staying in Goryu. Our host Monica was amazing, and very lovely. She would go out of her way to look after guests and make sure they were happy with everything! Location is great - just a short walk to goryu ski resort (escal plaza) where all the buses are. Room and shower was lovely and warm! And the common areas are so nice to have a chat with other guests and warm up over the fire after a day of skiing

All staff was amazing and made us feel welcome. Spacious rooms, and dining. Very clean and warm inside. 10min walk to slopes and ski rental place.

We had a wonderful stay in Santana and enjoyed our time there. The kids loved playing board and card games in the downstairs lounge, which was a nice space to relax. The location is very convenient. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the lift. The free breakfast was also a big highlight. We would happily stay here again!

“Beautiful location in the trees! Great first experience”

The bedrooms had great heaters in them! No need to worry about being cold! Breakfast was great to have in the morning as there isn’t many options for food around the lodge unless you walk about the hill. Great wee pizza truck outside the mountain base on your walk back down to the lodge.

Amazing place with lovely hosts

“A great stay, highly recommend!”

We loved our stay here late feb-early march 2025. Hosts were fantastic and it is in a perfect location to wander up to Goryu ski field (and easy to get to all the others). Place was warm and laid out so that it was easy to have our own space, or make friends with others who were staying. We found plenty of food options around and konbini also within walking distance.

Very cozy place, the wife was really nice and helpful, room was spacious. Also the wife made some excellent food. Nice location just a little walk up a hill to the slopes.

The common lounge area was always available, comfortable and toasty warm with the log fire. Mingling with the other guests was an added bonus. The breakfast was a great variety of continental options. The option to stay in for a light dinner was also welcome.

Similar vibe to ski lodges back in aus, and felt like home. Had everything we needed for a lovely week, lovely brekkie included and convenience of dinner available onsite. Halfway between the station and the lifts of goryu, so easy to get everywhere on foot. Albert and Fumi are phenomenal hosts. When we arrived one of our bags was missing, and Fumi called (without us asking) and got it delivered that evening. Also helped sorting us out sending our bags onto the next place. Im sure we'll be back!

Can’t thank Albert and Fumi enough for making my stay super comfortable, they’re super helpful and all around nice people. Big open area where everyone chats and hangs out at night. Really close to goriyu lifts and fumis cooking is top shelf!
