“Tonosawa is magic”

Tonosawa is magic. I dont think I've ever slept or eaten better in my life. The staff are incredibly attentive, the rooms are beautiful, the beds very large and comfortable, and a private Onsen on the balcony. The gym is suprisingly well equipped. The spa and massage top quality and very relaxing. The whole experience was pure luxury from beginning to end. We should have stayed 2 or 3 nights. Highly recommended.

“A perfect, relaxing stay”

We loved everything! The location was breathtaking. The staff were exceptional. Our room was comfortable and we loved wearing the yukatas to the dining room and around the property. The meals were outstanding, served at a perfect pace and well explained by the table staff. The private pool and sauna were fantastic too. But the main highlight was the onsen tub on the deck (with cold water available to help control the overall temperature) which was always ready and very inviting. This was one of our favourite travel experiences ever.

It was quiet and private. The dinner was amazing. Although we had to leave early, we got to enjoy our breakfast take away.

-Small, quiet property surrounded by beautiful wilderness. -Large, comfortable rooms with private onsen. -Rooms have a lot of privacy, with balconies facing the woods. -Very personalized service, starting at check in. -7-course traditional Japanese dinner was fantastic. -We hired a massage treatment which was top notch.

A decadent and special treat. Everything looks, feels and is 5 star. Our room was stunning and massive and the onsen on the balcony was fabulously relaxing. The kaiseki dinner is not to be missed. Everything we tried was meticulously presented and tasted delicious. The lounge and bar areas were also lovely and the menu quite extensive. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing escape that still feels like a treat, stay here. There is a spa onsite, we weren’t able to experience it due to availability, but if you’re keen on an extra treat, id suggest booking a slot ahead with the hotel ahead of your arrival.

Amazing helpful staff, friendly and professional. Clean and beautiful hotel with amazing onsens. Delicious food (I had the traditional japanese menu) with perfect presentation. Provided Yukata which you can choose the design, as well as hair accessories and face masks. Very luxurious, this hotel exceeded all my expectations

The breakfast and dinner meals were amazing, very delicious and very filling. The room was gorgeous and the private onsen was perfect. The staff were friendly and facilities were very luxurious. I also enjoyed the spa very much.

The best food I have ever had and the staff were amazing. They saw on my passport that my birthday was in a few days and gave me dessert with happy birthday on it which was really nice. They saw room is great and I love you can change the temperature of the Onsen so you can stay in it longer.
