The location was perfect, a short walk from Mt. Hakodate and a quick ride from many highlights. The Staff were exceptional, friendly and the perfect level to make a stay enjoyable. The earthquake made for an interesting surprise, but the staff were very reassuring. The breakfast was delicious, truly exceptionally delicious, made with care and a great way to start the day.

“This place is a hidden gem!”
All the staff provided such warm service during our 3D2N stay. A special mention to the senior male staff who handled both reception and breakfast service—unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but he was a joy to interact with and made the effort to chat with us in English. “Small hotel gem in Hakodate.”
Great location for Motomachi and the warehouses. Great large room with balcony and a small kitchen. Lovely staff, very courteous and helpful. Lovely lounge area and free wine. Exquisite Japanese breakfast and also a tasty western one. Free parking and good wifi.

“Wonderful hotel and wonderful staff - can’t recommend it highly enough! Special mention to our receptionist who was fabu”
Superb receptionist, his English was excellent and nothing g was too much trouble during our stay. He let us leave luggage before check-in time & next morning also called the JR station Lost Property line to sort out my lost iPad so I could collect it on the way back. Rooms were large and very comfortable, breakfast very nice with great service. Lobby area lovely & relaxing and with free Prosecco & Wine plus a vintage small table football game! The hotel is at the quieter end of Hakodate which was perfect for exploring all the small artisanal stores and cafes. Can’t rate our experience highly enough !

“Perfect end to our amazing holiday! So comfortable and amazing breakfast!”
The room was spacious and very well appointed. There is a coffee grinder where you can grind local beans for the perfect start to the day. The bed is very comfortable and there is a balcony with a view of Mt Hakodate. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. My favourite part was the western breakfast provided - it was magnificent and so delicious.

“Lovely boutique hotel in Hakodate”
The very pleasant, responsive and helpful staff who were always keen to help. We stayed in the Presidential Room- 2 bedrooms each with own en-suite, an extra toilet just inside main door( greatly appreciated!), well- equipped kitchenette, free bottles of water, self- laundry facilities, everything for a home away from home! Western and japanese breakfast on alternate days- decent spread.

We loved everything about this hotel - the service, the breakfasts, the large and well equipped bedroom and the delightful lounge with music and free wine. If we come back to Hakodate (which we liked very much) we will stay here again

Very welcoming hospitality - staff are wonderfully attentive and exceptional breakfasts over a 3 night stay. Location is great with views from our large balcony overlooking the mountain and cable car. Supermarket Coop just a street away. Afternoon drink in the lobby beside the library and fireplace is a lovely feature as are the CD’s we could borrow for the Bose speaker to play in our room. Washing machine in common laundry is very convenient. Rooms are not super modern but are still well appointed . Ours was in very good condition and very clean .
