We spent two wonderful nights in this truly special place, located inside a Buddhist temple – a unique and evocative experience. The apartment we stayed in is modern Japanese style, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. The view over the garden was enchanting, and everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. Communication with the host was easy thanks to Google Translate (or a similar app), and he was always courteous and helpful. We arrived during a heavy rainstorm, earlier than the check-in time, but we were warmly welcomed with a cup of tea. Because of the weather, we couldn’t go out on the first day, but we had the chance to take a calligraphy class with the host. It was a beautiful experience, and we brought home two small artworks as a souvenir. An unforgettable stay that we highly recommend to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and authenticity. Grazie

The host was very friendly and open for chatting. Even though we came to Hagi before check in time, we were able to store luggage and check at the convenient time. The place was clean and spacious, we loved the interior design. It was a stay in a temple inn with all the basic amenities provided but naturally limited access to electronics. Besides, we’re glad we’ve tried the art of calligraphy with the host.

“Beautiful accomodation”
Incredible place to stay. The interior is absolutely perfect, and the whole place is set in the grounds of a working temple and surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Wow! What an amazing experience! First and foremost we want to thank the host for being super friendly and explaining everything. We loved the Buddhist experience in the temple, definitely one of the best experiences I could have in Japan! And the house, what a beautiful house!!! I highly recommend this stay!
