The hotel is in an excellent location. The quadruple room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks.

“Great little hotel if you need stop over close to the airport”
Convenient stop over, close to the airport, accessed straight off the main road. Great breakfast buffet, lovely reception area and breakfast room. Parking right outside. We had a triple room, with 3 single beds and the room was much bigger than expected.

I stayed at Hotel Vellir for three nights and had a very pleasant experience overall. One of the real highlights was the access to the gym, which was excellent and very well equipped, a genuine bonus and better than expected for a hotel at this price point. The rooms are a tad on the small side, but the beds were comfortable and, importantly, the rooms were spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was perfectly suitable for the price point, offering a good selection to start the day without trying to be overly ambitious. Overall, it represents good value for money and I would happily stay again.

“Is ok but doesn’t match the price”
Is easy to check in if you come late. The shower is very nice. The breakfast is quite nice, some people complain about lack of variaty but is more than enough for a three star hotel.

Great place near Reykjavik! Also great for going out in the night for hunting Northern lights :) Always a good adress to beginn a Iceland-adventure! :) Sport-Bar was very cool for us!
