“Excellent stay for a ski in/out and onsen experience.”
Our experience was very positive. The check in process was smooth and the staff were friendly and very helpful with ski lift tickets and ski storage. The room (Western style) was clean, spacious and comfortable. There was both an indoor and outdoor onsen baths and both were excellent. There is a ski hill attached to the hotel ideal for beginners. There is a local bus that goes to Appi Kogen from Hachimantai (leaves early morning and returns in late afternoon) which was very convenient.

“A scenic and enjoyable stay with great food, though ventilation can be enhanced”
The hotel is beautiful and feels very comfortable, offering great value for money. I especially enjoyed the nice buffet options and the stunning mountain view from the dining area. It felt peaceful and relaxing.

“A hidden gem with amazing service”
The location simply cannot be beat, you leave the hotel ski locker and you're within a few steps of the lifts. Gorgeous mountain views and a short walk into town for local restaurants. A special mention goes to the staff. I haven't yet come across more accomodating, welcoming and helpful team. They really made our stay a home away from home. Truly wonderful service. The restaurant serves a nice variety of local produce and is worth checking out. A real geothermal onsen is sulfuric and very authentic. Mostly Japanese visitors during the week, it's as real Japan as you can experience.

Friendly and welcoming hospitality. The location was fabulous and the rooms were clean. Delicious array of dishes for the buffet. We really enjoyed the New Year’s Day firework exhibit and the fact that we could access the slopes straight from the hotel✨
