Everything about Sugi's guesthouse was amazing. Sugi and her son were so helpful and kind during our stay and went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. The guesthouse was spacious and allowed our family to finally relax after travelling from place to place. The breakfast was delicious! We were so grateful for the lift to and from the station, made things so much easier for us travelling with little ones. If you are lucky enough to have this place free when you want to travel to Gyeongju then book it immediately!

Sook and Dongjae were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to take care of us. The apartment is cosy, well equipped and in a quiet area. We had a great time in Gyeongju and every morning a tasty breakfast.

I’ll start by saying that our trip to Gyeongju began with Sugi kindly meeting us at the station and driving us to a wonderful house where we spent the next three days. The house was beautiful—spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. High-quality toiletries, comfortable bedding, a large TV with Netflix access, and even a welcome surprise in the fridge made our stay truly exceptional. Sugi and her son, Dong-je, were always available and helped us with any questions we had. Their level of hospitality was far beyond anything we had experienced on previous trips. The city itself is just as beautiful as Sugi’s home, with main parks and attractions located within a 10–15 minute walk. Lake Bonum can be reached by taxi in about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, three days were not enough for us to fully enjoy the city and the wonderful home we stayed in. I highly recommend Sugi’s house for anyone visiting Gyeongju. When we return next time, we will be happy to meet Sugi and Dong-je again.

“Beautiful house, most wonderful and thoughtful hosts”

Sugi and her son Dongjae were wonderful hosts. They picked us up from the train station late at night, and made us the most delicious breakfasts. Sugi even makes her own pottery breakfast dishes which are beautiful - we only wish we could have bought some to take home! The place is immaculately clean and well-designed and we felt very welcomed and at home.

Sugi and family are the most welcoming of hosts. They went out of their way to make sure that my stay, as well as arrival and departure were very comfortable. Breakfasts served were delicious (both Asian and western) and can be arranged at a time convenient for guests. The flat itself is spacious, ideal for 1-2 couples or a family with children and spotlessly clean. Walking distance to all the historical sights. I felt like I was a family friend rather than a guest- such a rarity these days.

Sufi’s guesthouse is truly a warm home, beautifully decorated with festive touches that make you feel instantly welcomed. The house is thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts like a Dyson styler and LG styler, ensuring you can look and feel your best during your stay. But what makes this place a perfect 10/10 is not just the amenities—it’s the hosts, Sugi and her son. Their kindness and hospitality shine through in every detail. From personally greeting us so we knew exactly where the house was, to generously doing our laundry (something I never expected!), they made us feel completely cared for. The highlight was the breakfast: delicious gimbap on our first morning, and easy-to-pack bread on our last day—both prepared with such thoughtfulness. These small yet meaningful gestures turned our stay into something unforgettable. I will truly miss this place and will return whenever I can. To future houseguests: please take care of their home, so that everyone can continue to experience its warmth and joy for many, many years to come.

The host was very kind - she picked us up from the station. The location was very quiet and we had the best sleep! The breakfast was home made and very delicious - it was the highlight of staying at Sugi's guesthouse. The place was immaculately looked after and super clean. On our last day, our train was early in the morning and Sugi offered not only take us to the station but she also made us breakfast in take away boxes so we could have it on the train. Sugi went above and beyond what we would expect from a host. She was very kind to my son and we had the best time!

We liked everything about SUGIS GUESTHOUSE. It was within easy walking distance to a number of amazing historical sites in Gyeongju, in a quiet location, a roomy modern space, comfortable beds, very generous breakfasts, a sweet outdoor garden and deck and handy to local places to grab some Korean BBQ and a coffee. The hosts were such lovely helpful people we wished we stayed longer and hope to go back again. SUGI’s son spoke good English which we found very helpful as we didn’t know much KOREAN.

Everything is wonderful. The family, mother and son are so pleasant and caring. The place is so beautiful and clean. The location is within walking distance to the historical sites. I’m glad I stayed 2 nights here. The breakfast for both days were excellent. I’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The place was spotless and beautifully decorated, with so much care in every detail. The host was wonderfully kind and even picked us up at the station, which made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was thoughtful and delicious. My 80-year-old mother and aunts felt very comfortable and truly enjoyed their stay. If we come back to Gyeongju, we would definitely love to stay here again.

I’ve been booking places through Airbnb and Booking.com for about 15 years, and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had! The apartment itself is amazing: modern, stylish, and full of thoughtful details and features I hadn’t even seen before. What made the stay truly unforgettable were the hosts, Sugi and her son. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even picked us up from the airport, surprised us with a delicious dinner and breakfast, and showed us a level of kindness and hospitality I have never experienced before. We had an amazing stay at Sugi's place. Sugi and her son were so kind and generous, even helping us with transport to and from the train station. The place was beautiful, comfortable and sparkling clean. The location is an easy walk to the main sites of Gyeongju. Great with our toddler. Beautiful apartment with a lovely garden. Everything within 15min walking distance. The breakfast was great. And Sooki is an absolutely amazing host, the best we've had on our trip! She even picked us up at the train station. If you're staying in Gyeongju, you'll love it here!

the host and her son have been both very nice, so kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good and varied, it was so pleasant to have it on the sunny terrace. The house is super clean, spacious, very comfortable. It is at 15 minutes walk from downtown.
