“L’Escale is heaven in Guethary”
Third Visit to this beautiful beach L’Escale Surf Hostel….. Ella and her Staff are just amazing, A Huge Shoutout to Galen, Zoe, and Mindi they are made you instantly welcome…….. I plan to return later in the year Many Thanks for a Wonderful and Relaxing Stay.

“Excellent hostel in beautiful guethary”
Location! Ideal position in the heart of Guéthary. Literally 2 min walk from the train station and maybe 7 min from the bus stop - perfect for exploring the area. Train to st Jean de Luz in 15 mins, Bayonne and hendaye maybe 30 mins. Guethary is an adorable town to spend a few days in lots of bars on the beach, restaurants and excellent spot for beach/surf. Hostel was very clean, beds had excellent curtains. Common area very nice, breakfast was very good, staff was super friendly.

L’Escale is the perfect get away for surfers and people who just need a break (that’s me!). The ladies who work there are lovely and it really does feel like a home from home. I couldn’t have chosen a more peaceful place to go on holiday and I will definitely be coming back at some stage!

“A feeling of home for a Scottish wanderer”
The people mainly really made this such a special place to me. I will love to revisit this place in my heart always from now on. And the hostel was lovely and the location. Basically everything about it was perfect

Super Nice staff. I stayed in the private room. Clean, beautiful room and bathroom. The location is perfect 5 min from Gathery Station.
