“Memorable Chateau living”

Eric and Armel went out of their to way to be welcoming, helpful and hospitable. The chateau was very picturesque. The room was in keeping with a chateau, roomy and elegant. The bed was very comfortable. A memorable visit.

A fabulous 17th C chateau on the edge of Beaujolais, close to vineyards, close to the Saone river. Beautiful gardens, grand, high-ceilinged rooms. A lovely welcome from owners Eric and Armelle, who booked an excellent local restaurant for dinner for us.

Wonderful friendly hosts, the Chateau is a gem, surrounded by super gardens and a village with all amenities. The decor is wonderful, just a super stay!

Breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit salad and delicious croissants. Homemade jams and lots of fresh coffee.

Our hosts made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed ; helped book restaurant and served us a fine traditional French breakfast . Marvelous!

The best Chateau we have stayed in by far. A really authentic country chateau experience. The hosts are unequaled to anywhere we have stayed before. Nothing is too much for them to assist or some conversation making sure all needs are met. Bedsheets are custom made as are towels etc. comfortable bed magnificent setting. Great breakfast

A fabulous historic chateau with peaceful grounds and beautiful views of the surrounding valley, and a warm welcome from the owners. We went as a family, so they gave us adjoining rooms (There's a piano downstairs, so pack some music if you're a pianist)

Armelle & Eric were very gracious and welcoming hosts, they open up their beautiful family home to only a small number of guests and treat them with delight.

We stayed at Chateau des Charmes for a night and it was incredible. The location and view was beautiful. We spent the morning in the garden enjoying the view, sunshine and a lovely coffee/tea. The bed is extremely comfortable and the room and en-suite bathroom is very nice as well. Armelle and Eric were lovely hosts, advising us on restaurants and places to explore.

The Chateau des Charmes is a stunning mansion set in beautiful grounds. Our room was really special, very quiet spacious & restful. The bed was large & extremely comfortable. Our host & hostess were friendly, charming & a mine of information on things to do & see in the area. They kindly booked a table for us in a super restaurant called Mange et tais-toi in a nearby village - it is highly recommended. We had a really good night's sleep - the luxurious sheets deserve a special mention. Breakfast was absolutely delcious. Our hostess even made a fresh fruit salad for us! Our hosts mentioned that guests often arrive as clients but leave as friends & it certainly felt like that to us as we set off on our long drive home. . The Chateau des Charmes is highly recommended.
