Overview
Castello Di Petroia Dimora d'Epoca is a historic site made of several mediaeval buildings based around a 12th-century castle, set between Gubbio and Perugia. It offers unique rooms and free parking. The Petroia's 3 buildings, the Castellare Maggiore, Castellare Minore and Mastio preserve original architectural features. The castle was the birthplace of Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino in the 15th century. The rooms feature antique furniture, exposed wood-beam ceilings and old prints or paintings from the 18th-century. Some rooms also have a sofa-bed, a hydromassage bath, and sweeping views across the valley. Castello Di Petroia Dimora d'Epoca is also a large farm with typical white cattle. The gardens feature a sun terrace with swimming pool.

Very nice people in a lovely place with stunning views and a lovely garden and an adventures road to drive to the property. The room was very spacious and a shower with a lot of water pressure. love to come back

Location is perfect to go other cities in Umbria. And it is magical to be in castle just with view, reading in garden. We had a stargazing night, was impressed. All the staff was welcoming and kind. Rooms are well organized. All the walls with art calls you to a journey in history. For sure will come again.

Absolutely incredible place! If you want to feel like a noble person but with all the modern comfort, that’s the place for you. The staff is extremely nice, the restaurant is amazing, and the surroundings are incredibly beautiful.

The breakfasts were fabulous. Everything is handmade. We also had dinner there and the food was superb. The location is breathtaking with beautiful views across the hills. The rooms and bathrooms were big and spacious.

“True castle feeling with a friendly vibe!”
We loved our stay in Castelo di Petroia. The setting is absolutely stunning and even though it's quite a fancy place the vibe is still friendly and welcoming. Paolo especially looked after us so well and helped us find the perfect wine. Also the breakfast was incredible in options and variety - we can also recommend the restaurant!
