“This is a great choice of place to stay outside of Guatape.”
Very nice place. The owner is incredibly sweet and accommodating. You have a nice little 3 bedroom 4 bathroom house with well equipped kitchen and central sitting area, and a patio with lounge chairs. Or you can hang out up at the restaurant terrace and enjoy the pretty little view. Beds are firm but comfy, the showers aren’t overly hot, but good and clean, and the jacuzzi more than makes up for it. I loved spending mornings and evenings in the jacuzzi. In the mornings you have a chance to see the beautiful Barranquero Andino birds that come to visit. I saw 2:) The included Breakfast was great, many choices, and everything I meal I had to eat here was so delicious. Also some nice and reasonably priced craft beers and other bevies at the bus bar/restaurant. The location is easy to get to and from as it’s on the main road….a 3000 peso jeep ride to the drop off at La Piedra, and a little more to Guatapé or to El Peńol town. Not a very walkable location, the shoulders are tight, best to jeep it. If you decide to stay elsewhere, come at least for breakfast lunch or dinner and have a crepe:) So good!
