Gorgeous hotel and room; free upgrade

“Gorgeous property in a great location.”

Beautifully decorated old house away from the noise of the center but an easy walk to it. Large comfortable bed in a room with everything provided. Continental breakfast too. A jacuzzi is being added to the garden.

“Grand, beautiful and impeccable hospitality”

The house is grand and beautifully decorated by Rafa whose hospitality is impeccable. If we ever make it to Guanajato again, it’s a no brainer to stay here again.

A surprisingly delightful stay—it feels like stepping into a movie scene. The place resembles a museum, exquisitely decorated with porcelain, ornaments, paintings and oriental-style artifacts. It is very tranquil at night. The owner is kind and gentle and everyone there is friendly. Everything in this "castle" is well-equipped and comfortable—air conditioning, refrigerator, water dispenser, tableware, milk, and more. Having access to hot water was truly wonderful. It's about fifteen-minute walk to the attractions. The only regret was that we had to leave early in the morning and missed breakfast—though it looked good:)

Exceptional historical building, very tastefully equipped with antique furniture. Beautiful, big rooms and bathroom with everything you need. The owner family is very helpful and friendly. Very quiet location although only 15min walk to the historical centre. Very rich and tasteful breakfast.

It felt like an invitation to a home stay and the experience itself was an extension of visiting Guanajarto, gaining insights of how locals live. Rafa and Veronika plus their team are greatest hosts, and we can see so much love built into their tasteful home with further projects to come. The house has a lot of colors and art works, almost like living in a museum. We felt rested, welcomed and inspired!

“Excellent Stay in Elegant Boutique Hotel”

It was more like staying in a very nice house rather than a hotel. The decoration in the rooms was very well done and it was nice to have access to the lounge / living room area. Definitely something special and not like your ordinary hotel experience. Breakfast was just continental but was more than sufficient for us with a selection of sweet rolls, bread for toast, fruits, juice and tea/coffee. The location is about a 15 min walk from the main downtown, but we didn't find this to be a problem and it was actually rather nice to be away from all the hubbub. Although the town is quite hilly, the walk from the hotel was quite flat.

Because it is a small Boutique Hotel, the attention from the host and staff is 6+ star. More like an Art Hotel, we liked the collection of art and the eye for details in all corners of the hotel and room. One of the best stays we had in Mexico.

The house is like a museum. There are books everywhere, beautiful artwork, lovely furniture and so much more. Rafi was a wonderful host, was easy to communicate with in English with and made us feel at home right away. A most impressive house. We walked to the city center, which was about a 20 minute walk.

It has been an astonishing surprise for us to stay in an art museum like this for one night! Outstanding and unforgettable! Rafael has been decorating this house with vintage pieces since 18. As a result, you can actually feel history resonating with your mind, which brings peace to your soul. It is definitely worth the money since it’s not only a place to have a rest but also a museum deserving exploring!
