The bed was very comfortable, and the simple breakfast included small portions of scrambled eggs and coffee.

The hostel service is excellent. I felt very comfortable. The cleanliness and order are excellent. Cactus Hostel & Suites was my best choice. Thank you.

“Comfy beds but no atmosphere”

The mattress was very comfortable and the bedding was super clean. The value for money cannot be argued, it's a solid place to stay if on a budget. The patio area with festoon lighting is also really nice to sit at night. The staff are very friendly and gave us some good tips as well as helped us to move to a different room with mosquito nets.

Nice hostel, comfy beds, everything was clean. The guy who works at reception was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast included, you cook it yourself. Location in a peaceful area.

I liked that the hostel wasn’t in the middle of everything. I was there for the Cervantino festival so it was nice to be able to leave the busy centre for a quieter part of Guanajuato. I liked that the kitchen was always clean and tidy - I felt comfortable to prepare my own meals the common room area was a great place to work with big communal table and nice big sofa and the terrace also. very good wifi connection in most areas except the rooms Israel was kind enough to collect me from the bus station on arrival which was very helpful after a long journey the cactus is close to a great hike if you like walking - in 20 minutes you are in the La Bufa hills/mountains and can enjoy panoramic views of the city free drinking water provided

Israel (coowner) is a star, helping with anything and everything you want. New beds, towels etc in a charming building. Big common areas and free (DIY) breakfast

“Amazing hostel”

This hotel was like an oasis. The dorm room was beautiful and clean with luxurious furnishings. The bathroom and shower was like a fancy hotel. I was alone in the 4 bed dorm and there was another 4 bed dorm opposite where another guest was given the whole room too. I really appreciated that. Breakfast is simple. Really comfortable sofa by the front. Host was lovely.

“Guanajuato greatness”

Because it was low season the hostel wasn't super busy but the beds were comfy and the rooftop was nice! The bathrooms are private for each room which is a bonus. Guanajuato is definitely worth the trip, it's so beautiful. The hostel is out of town but near a very popular market and also near the dam which is a tourist attraction. The hostel is also near tacos monkey, which is an amaaaazing taco place.

Very nice hosts

Room was a good size, well designed and clean. Kitchen was new with good appliances, although only one cooker so we did have to wait to cook at times. The area is slightly outside of the main zone but much preferred as it's quieter (there was a daily parade while we were there!). The hostel is at the start of the trail to hike La Bufa,and there's a lovely and cheap greengrocer within a 2m walk. Rooms were cleaned daily. The hostel was good for meeting other travellers.

Very beautiful hostel, amazing decoration and one of the cleanest hostels I've ever been to. Good location about 10 minutes walk to the center. Lots of convenient stores around, quiet place. I loved the rooftop terrasse overlooking the city. They offer a simple breakfast with coffee, cereals, eggs, milk, and the kitchen is fully equipped to cook in your own. Beds were comfortable. Nice and helpful staff, we appreciate all their efforts to make our stay memorable.
