This place was such a suprise for us as it was originally just a stop over between Etosha and the Caprivi strip so we didn't pay much attention to what we booked. It is on the site of a huge abandoned mining village with a massive open pit in the middle that you can zipline over. Everything is very reasonably priced so we ended up spending the day there and doing activities. We were taken on a 4x4 tour of the grounds and the people managing the land are clearly fascinated by the history and they are very passionate about learning more. There is also a spa on site although we didn't have time to make use of it. We were very impressed by the efforts gone into making the site such as arrays of solar panels and batteries. It is clearly at the beginning of a very exciting journey as they are refurbishing lots of the abandoned buildings so I would be fascinated to see it in a few years. The owner is investing a lot of time in training the staff and they are so friendly and approachable especially after being in Etosha where the people can be a bit clinical with the tourists. Also the chef deserves a special mention as the food was so tasty! Really impressed with location and I wish them all the best as it develops.
