Exceptionally beautiful location, beautifully renovated house, caring and super tidy hosts that take care of the house, the garden and the food in a very dedicated way. The breakfast was excellent, only the timing is a little late (9 o'clock) if you want to use the morning before the heat for exploring.

A peaceful escape surrounded by nature! The room is cozy, clean, and offers breathtaking views. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. Perfect for relaxation and recharging away from the city noise. Highly recommend :)

If You want to relax, hike, enjoy the moment and enjoy in beautiful Istria but at the same time meet other people, be inspired by them...Bolara has it all:) Pure magical place, definitely have to come back one day!

“The best spot in Croatia”
It was amazing. We were 100% taken care of by the great staff. They are very nice and love to chat with you about your day and really try to get to know you. The breakfast was good, it consisted of a yoghurt and something special. The special was different every day. The option to have dinner on Saturdays and Wednesdays is definitely something to take part in, as the three course meal was delicious, and handmade with local products. They also offer wine with every course. They offer drinks all day and you can order the best snack boards full of home made and home grown products. There is a binder in the room with advice on what to do and where to eat. Absolutely loved everything here.

“Istrian Paradise”
Matt and Anna have created a very special place in Bolara. Aside of being aesthetically beautiful, for us, it was a peaceful and re-invigorating space to just ‘be’ after a fair while travelling through Europe. Their attention to detail, great local recommendations and engaging approach was always much appreciated and the excellent food, a real treat. We would love to return one day!
