Hotel Central Wolter is conveniently located in Grindelwald, just a 1-minute walk from the train station and from all bus connections to the Jungfrau, Männlichen and First region. “Niceee stay!”
Very close to the train station and had beautiful view at the front. There’s no aircond in the room, though it was cold when you leave the windows open.

“Excellent base for touring the surrounding area”
Location is great: this hotel is about as close to the main Grindewald train station as you can be - less than 5 minutes walk. The bus station is also just across the road, but we did not experience any noise issues. In addition, the Coop supermarket is a few minutes walk away, so you can easily stock up on supplies. You can enter the hotel through the integrated restaurant, and take the lift to the first floor where reception is located. Very friendly and helpful staff who gave good suggestions for our Jungfrau trip. Room was good, with a safe, fridge, TV, portable fan (needed during the heat wave), comfortable beds, balcony, toiletries. You can borrow a kettle from reception and they also provided adaptor plugs to charge our phones. We had mountain views from our balcony. Breakfast is from 730am to 1000am. It can be busy early on as people are looking to get away early for the big mountain trips, but we always found a table and staff were constantly refilling the breakfast items. Which included juices, hot drinks, fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs, yogurts, breads, croissants. It was ample for our (vegetarian) needs. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant once, and that was fine. Switzerland can be expensive so many budget conscious travellers use the local supermarket for meals. We found a very good cafe near the Coop which was very good value for money. Grindewald (and Hotel Central Wolter) provides an excellent base for touring the surrounding area. Our favourites were Jungfrau, Grindewald First and Schilthorn. If you are looking to escape hot weather, some of the mountain summits provide relief, the nearby Gletscherschluct Gorge is cool, and further out you could do Tummelbach Falls.

“The loveliest and kindest staff”
Very spacious apartments, with balcony, space to cook and parking which we needed. The hotel staff Jorge was possibly the best part of our stay, just so knowledgeable and helpful going the extra data mike with tips and supportive. Truly elevated the experience.

The location was just a couple of minutes easy walk with our luggage from the train station. Everywhere you look is like a postcard, great food and easy walk to all the shops & supermarket. The view from breakfast is next level sensational.

The property located near every we needed, train station, Coop supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. It still provides somewhat peaceful and quiet environment. We stayed in the separated building, which is for apartments and we really liked it.

- The location is premium: close to the Grindelwald First station, the bus terminal, train station and supermarket. - The room was very comfortable and had a balcony with a stunning view of the mountains. - The staff was welcoming and friendly. - Breakfast was good.
