Great host, good location.

It was a perfect place to be. It is a good base for hiking or exploring the area. Near all facilities like trains, cable cars or the village centre with shops and restaurants. The host, Marianne, is very kind and helpful. She knows the area extremely well, so she can tell what the options are for hiking or exploring. She even brings milk from their own cows. The appartment has everything you need. It's clean, cosy and has the best views of the mountains. Would definitely recommend this chalet.

“You wont want to leave!”

Absolutely everything about Chalet Bärgblick exceeded our expectations. Marianne and her family were the perfect hosts, the chalet and the scenery were like a fairytale and we never wanted to leave. Marianne treated us like friends throughout, made sure we got there easily, settled us in, supplied us with farm fresh milk daily and fresh eggs, gave us tips and suggestions for our outings each day and ensured that we had everything we could possibly need for our stay. She even messaged to make sure we arrived at our next destination after leaving. The chalet was beautifully warm (great heating), clean and comfortable for our 5 night stay. The kitchen was very well equiped - we bought food at the Coop in town and local products from Landi to make most meals during our stay. We were also able to use Mariannes washing machine and dryer which was fabulous. Looking out of the windows over the stunning Grindelwald Valley with the mountains as a backdrop, watching the cows wandering past our window on the way to the milking shed and the sun set over the mountains was truely magnificent! The other thing to note is that the local bus stops at their driveway and is free to ride making it very easy to get into town or to the train or bus terminals or to the First Gondola stop.

“We loved our stay here and will be back one day!”

We had the absolute best time here! The house is wonderfully decoration, perfectly clean and in the best spot on the side of the hills right under the Eiger. So cozy with the wood burn fireplace and old farm house charm. We got to say hi to the cows and bunnies everyday and give them pets. The owner Marianne and her son Kasper were incredible hosts and made sure we had everything we needed at all times.

“Comfortable apartments surrounded by majestic nature”

Comfortable apartment on the base floor with terrace. From the windows and the entire territory of the apartments, enchanting views of the mountains and snow-capped peaks open in all directions. Separated from the living room, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a stove, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, toaster, etc. Hospitable hosts, Marianna is always in touch if necessary, helps to optimally plan travel routes taking into account the "Jungfrau Region" guest card, provided by the hotel, and is very attentive to all requests.

“Gorgeous place with exceptional hosts”

Anything less than 10/10 is a crime for this place. Such a beautiful Chalet. Stole our hearts the moment we saw it. This is the image of Switzerland I have had since my childhood. Absolutely enjoyed the stay here. The place is located in a scenic and peaceful part about 2 kms from the center. Buses come right near the Chalet. But keep in mind buses run only till 7pm and run only once every hour or so. But can be reached within walking distance from Grindelwald Terminal station. A small 10-minute hike that's all. If you are interested in skiing, Grindelwald Grund station with trains to Kleiene Scheidegg is also reachable by walk. They have plenty of parking space in case you drive. In winter better to not follow the shorter route suggested by Google maps and instead follow the bus route. The chalet is very well equipped with everything you need. Happy about it. Best part was the fireplace. Made it a cozy environment for our winter stay. Otherwise, no shops etc around. You need to plan your shopping for Groceries, but that's hardly an inconvenience. Most of all, Marienne and her family are the highlight. Best hospitality I have come across in Europe. She was always in touch with us to see that we were comfortable. Be it providing fresh milk from their farm, or dropping us to the station a couple of times when we were in a hurry, cannot thank her and her family enough. Would definitely visit again.

“A Humble Abode”

Living in a cosy, yet a modernly equipped chalet, was the best experience to have in Switzerland! Marianne is the most gracious host we've ever met, always ready on her feet to help and guide us with whatever we need. A cute chalet to experience the Grindelwal-lifestyle and very close to all transportation nodes. 1-min walk to the bus stop, 3mins downhill walk to the station. We were very happy and will definitely stay there again!

“Amazing sunsets!”

Chalet Bärgblick is a cozy place in a wooden house, which is rented for travelers. The upper floors are occupied by a family of farmers, who will meet and warmly greet you in Grindelwald. The apartment is specifically recommended for the families with kids! First of all, children can see different animals like rabbits, cows, goats very close. Secondly, you can get as much fresh milk as you wish in the mornings or evenings. We spent Easter holidays in Grindelwald and left very happy that we have chosen this place. The house is located on the hill, so be prepared to walk up, if you do not have a car, since the last bus from Grindelwald is at 18:45. From the other side, the chalet is a bit remote but you can see beautiful mountains on the background. They are specifically spectacular at sunset! The apartment is equipped with everything you may need. It has a bath, fireplace, comfy sofa, sitting place outside, board games, coffee machine, dishwasher, etc. You would get a visitor card on arrival that can be used to ride in the buses for free, which is very convenient!
