Our stay at the Rührberger Hof was truly memorable. The hotel perfectly combines rural charm with modern comfort, and its location near the French and Swiss borders made it an ideal base for exploring the region. Our room was spacious and opened onto a terrace with sweeping views of the fields and mountains — a wonderful spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. Free parking was a big plus since we traveled by car. Breakfast was a highlight, with a generous buffet that set us up for the day. In the evening, we enjoyed hearty Baden cuisine in the restaurant, and dining on the garden terrace in summer felt especially inviting. What made the experience even more special was the warm hospitality. The hotel is family‑owned, and Felix Düster is not only an excellent chef but also an attentive host who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were equally gracious and friendly. We loved that scenic walks and hikes started right outside the hotel, and with Basel, Switzerland, and France just minutes away, it was easy to combine relaxation with adventure. Rührberger Hof felt like a home away from home, and we would happily return.

The photos are misleading; the room was terribly small with old furniture. The hotel’s restaurant was expensive, and the food was not tasty at all. I don’t understand why this hotel has such a high rating on Booking, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

It's a nice hotel for 1 night stay in very nice area. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are spacy enough and very clean. The hotel has the restaurant on the ground floor that allows to enjoy the dinner without going outside. The parking has enough slots for the cars and some parking slots allows to charge electric cars.

Countryside flair in a beautiful and quiet location on a hill with a nice view of the surrounding hills. The cuisine is top that should be enjoyed during the stay. A Michelin cook. We had a perfect dinner and the dessert was professionally prepared and served. We ate thankful for the experience and are looking forward for our next trip.
