“A superb, relaxing break in the beautiful Swedish countryside.”

Smalandsgarden is a really nice hotel set in a beautiful, quiet lakeside position. There was a feeling of total relaxation about the location and surrounding countryside. The hosts were very pleasant and engaging, volunteering ideas of places to visit on our stay. We wanted to swim, relax by the water, walk in the forests and enjoy nature on our stay. Smalandsgarden delivered on every level. We would definitely return.

Excellent hosts and excellent welcoming they go the extra mile Very nice breakfast especially the homemade rhubarb kind of jam Dinner we had the goat cheese salad and entrecôte. Loved it. Ingredients especially goat cheese salad was amazing. Room we had was very cute the bathroom is a little small (only fit 1 person). The lake in front of the hotel is very easy accessible and water was very clean. Had a nice swim session. Their is a small current to the right side of the jetty. Would suggest to have a flag so you can find back the starting position. Would recommend this hotel 100 percent.

“A perfect stay!”

A beautiful location on the lake. We loved our stay here. We hired a rowing boat and went out onto the lake and it was peaceful and quiet. The restaurant was very good using only local produce as far as humanly possible and the owners are very proud of their hotel, and it shows.

What did i like? Everything. Owner was such a sweetheart and so friendly. Breakfest was perfect. Landscape is incredible. Wonderfull place. Only negative was that we couldn't be there more than one night.

Nice waterside location and very service minded staff. 30 min from Jönköping and much more relaxing and cheaper than staying in Jönköping. There are no shops nearby. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good, but a bit expensive.
