“Good value for money, good breakfast & convenient location”
The property was in a great location, had plenty of parking spaces, great breakfast options (waffle machine was a bonus!!!) hotel was pet friendly (I didn’t travel with pets but didn’t mind seeing other peoples dogs!) good value for money. The outside space was clean and would be great in the summer.

Payment system should have flexibility for customers to pay for full stay up front rather than have their cards authorized and charged at intervals.

“I could not check in ! You guys cannot accept any foreign credit card and refuse other means of payt”
I was unable to check in upon my arrival ! Your credit card system (IHG @ Grand Rapids) could not read either of my two french banks VISA cards, including a VISA Corporate credit card. Same thing at Holiday Inn accross the street => it is an IHG card reader or standard issue, not specific to Staybridge Suites Grand Rapids. None of both Staybridge and Holiday Inn Grand Rapids staff were able to find any solution, so I ended up at an other hotel , with absolutely no issue with my credit cards. The attendant at Staybridge told me that she had the same issue with previous foreign customers, who could not check in their room either. So my conclusion is that IHG hotels at Grand Rapids cannot receive any foreign visitors, period. Access restricted to national card holders only. So why do you accept bookings from booking.com and from arround the world ? You should warn your futur customers of such restrictions. I arrived at midnight at your place, after a very long travel, after having called you to ensure my booking was effective, and it was, only to be rejected and left with no hotel place to check in. Extremely unpleasant experience.
