Situated in Granada, 200 metres from San Juan de Dios Museum, Shine Albayzín features a tour desk and free WiFi throughout the property. Sonia was at reception when we arrived and she was absolutely lovely - really friendly, helpful and welcoming, so thank you, Sonia! The room was clean and the hotel is really well-located for a walk to the centre or the popular sights - we walked to Alhambra and to lots of the viewpoints from here.

Previously, we had stayed on the top floor in a spectacular room. This time our room was on the second floor. It was clean, nicely appointed but the only window was into the courtyard which made the room dark. However, the location is suberb. The coffee shop below is lovely with wonderful staff. We highly recommend this hotel particularily if you have a room with a view.

“An Inn with Moorish Ambuence”
The coffee station on every floor was good. Most hotels have no kettle and coffee in the room or the hotel but this hotel had it and it was very convenient. They have an excellent cafe. The menu could be more diverse. Unexpectedly one day when the cafe closed down earlier than closing time - Pablo went out of his way to make smoothies for us. Very close to the Plaza.

“A hidden gem.”
The location was perfect and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I also loved having the inner courtyard terrace to relax and the provision of tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious.

“Beautiful atmospheric hotel with modern comforts and traditional style”
Historic gorgeous house in the best part of Granada, near a small river. Very atmospheric. Easy to walk to the Alhambra and even to the station. Although we took a taxi on the way back - easy too from the central square. We had originally just booked a double, but swapped rooms with our friend, and had the Suite at the top as we were a couple and she was on her own, due to her husband not being able to come. The room was wonderful in that it had an excellent view of the Alhambra. And it was spacious and very light. Really excellent hotel cafe for breakfast.
