Bartholomew's Loft, situated in the historic town of Grahamstown, offers both self-catering and bed & breakfast accommodation. This renovated property is within 1.5 km of Rhodes University. The Loft buildings are located in Grahamstown, with a lively restaurant and bar scene, only a 1 km walk away. Rhodes University is only 1.5 km from Bartholomew’s Loft, or guests can take a trip to the Sunshine Coast beaches, a 60 km drive away. There is free, enclosed parking available at the loft and Port Elizabeth Airport and East London Airport are both within a 150 km drive.

“We do not recommend this establishment.”
The photos of the room we booked at Bartholomew's Loft must have been taken some while ago because it was not as nice as the photo looked. It felt cold, damp and needed updating. We checked in but did not remain there for very long. Instead we went to find alternative accommodation, then returned to ask for a refund - explaining our discomfort. The lady agreed to give us a refund but did not go through with it. Booking.com advised us that they could not get a response from them! The outside building needs re-decorating and is on very noisy corner. There is only just enough room for maybe 4 cars but if you park there first, you will be blocked in.
