“No cooling”
The room was very nice. We where there in july and they did not offer breakfast at this time but we had use of the kitchen. The kitchen had many seating areas and was light and roomy. The rooms with bathroom was clean and fresh. The kitchen on the other hand felt a bit unattended to. Like yesterdays guests had left there stuff and noone had checked and cleaned.

“Lovely, atmospheric and unique place to stay for exploring the island”
Beautiful surroundings, recently renovated or extremely well kept interiors including bathroom, super comfy bed and lovely decor. All the staff were very kind and it was lovely watching the horses, cats and wildlife + sunset from the communal balcony/terrace. Very good location for exploring different parts of the island. Option for cooking a definite bonus, the kitchen+dining/breakfast room was clean and had a nice farm-house vibe. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a countryside stay.

Can highly recommend Granlunda Gårdshotel! Very unique place located in a horse stable, clean and cozy rooms, very lovely staff and the breakfast included was a nice bonus.

“Passable”
After many positive experiences in Åland we were caught off guard by this overpriced stable turned hotel. Our stay was absolutely OK, with a clean and tidy room, which included a fan for cooling, and friendly staff. However, it did not live up to the review score and the steep price. If it wasn’t for the price, we could have easily accepted a couple of imperfections including: - Cold water in the shower after a couple of minutes - No soap in the shower - Hardly any natural light in the room - Noise from guests/bar What really put us off though was the unsympathetic amount that we were charged for dinner. Initially we were happy that we could have dinner at the property (which is located in isolated farmland). The owners were cooking for a large group and offered us a simple meal (we had to wait until the timing aligned with them serving the group). The next day however we were charged 39 euros for 1 plate and similarly excessive amounts for 2 drinks. All in all, the value for money is far below other properties in the area.

The property was beautiful and the room that we stayed in was very clean and nice. We also tried the sauna and it was super relaxing and the space was really pretty! Also the animals were friendly and they definitely didn’t cause any problems during our stay.

Good beds, clean room, good breakfast and welcoming staff/owners. Peaceful surroundings and the bar opened when you asked for it. I got a sense of being related family.

Room was very nice and big. Owners of the hotel helped us to found a vet when my dog was bitten by a snake, that was very heart warming. Horses and whole place is absolutely awesome.

“Relaxed, cozy stay with great owners”
This place was beyond our expectations. A friend in our company had an accident the day we were going to check in, Caroline and Dan were very empathetic to our situation, and they made our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel was unique - it is located atop of a horse stable. It has fresh furniture, and a well-equipped kitchen, and breakfast they served was tasty. Atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing - animals everywhere: kittens, dogs, horses... Owners were very amicable and were ready for a chat anytime. Dan even walked us through the bar he was constructing. This was one of our best accommodation experiences, and I could give them 11 if I could. We hope to be back again, and enjoy the new bar. Thanks for everything!
