Excellent design

“Wonderful stay at chic and stylish boutique hotel !”

Hotel is very well designed - very chic and nice. I stayed in Room 202 - it was small, cosy & perfect for one person. Had everything that I needed for a good night's rest. There was no terrace or view (facing the car park) but it was extremely quiet and I appreciated that after a day's expedition. Hotel within walking distance to the main street with restaurants. In the morning, had breakfast at the hotel owner's cafe/shop - simply love the place and enjoyed browsing the local products. Breakfast was so fresh & delicious ! Most of all, I would like to thank the owner for his excellent service in helping us with taxis, booking restaurant, hosting our breakfast, and making us feel so welcomed & comfortable during our stay on Fukue Island.

“Cozy, clean and central stay”

The room is very pretty and clean. Also the owner is a super friendly and hospitable. The location of the hotel is convenient if you like being in a more lively area. The neighborhood is quiet, but you can find several restaurants and shops nearby. Also a plus that there’s free parking at the hotel.

“Great stay in modern design hotel.”

We had a great stay at Hotel Sou. The room design is very modern - the raw concrete and industrial design elements, as well as the open floor concept connecting room, bathroom and balcony are really well done. You can see that the owner knows what he‘s doing and has a great eye for good design. The hotel is super well located and in close walking distance to some of Fukue‘s main sights, a bunch of restaurants/bakeries etc. Last but not least, the owner really went way and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. He was always available for questions, helped us making reservations with restaurants and arrangements with a rental car company, etc. This helped us a lot, especially as English is not so widely spoken in Fukue/Goto.

Exceptional experience and beyond expectation in a boutique hotel. Everything you see and touch in the room is extremely well-designed. The owner is friendly and sweet enough to advise you on your sightseeing plan. He gave me a list of cafes and restaurants nearby, which immensely helped me.

“Perfect stay…should have stayed longer!”

My favourite accomodation on my 2-week trip to Japan. I loved the design of the room, it is really unique and the room is big for Japanese standards. I came to Fukue for biking, so a big additional plus was that a great bikeshop (Bike is life Goto) is located on the ground floor of the same building. A convenience store is also around the corner. The staff of Hotel Sou and Bike is life were awesome, super friendly, and helped me throughout my stay.

“A cool, comfy, and clean base to explore Fukue Island!”

The hotel sou was a perfect base for exploring Fukue Island in the Goto Islands. It was near the ferry port, extremely clean, comfortable and compact but well-proportioned studio. Very modern and cool feel to the room. My host was extremely kind and helpful. I didn't regret adding the Goto Islands to my itinerary, it was such a beautiful island and a highlight of my trip in the area.

“想像以上のいい旅”

The room is out of my expectation. It is very clean and clozy. The atmosphere makes me relaxed so much. The owner also provided high quality device, including bluetooth speaker, internet TV, electronic lantern, and more, that I can enjoy myself at night. Palying the music and drink the beer. At first I expect to get a simple room and prepare my academic presentation, but what I actually obtained was the awesome vocation. The owner himself is very hospital, and willing to deal with any problem. At first day, he just inroduced some local cuisines for me and get the phone call instantly to check the seat. He introduce all the devices in person carefully to make sure the visitors can completely have fun on this island. Very nice person. I seldom type comment in English because my native language is Chinese. However, I really this hotel worth to invite more foreigners, so I try to share my opinion in English.
