Overview
Set in 2 historic buildings in Goslar’s Old Town, this charming 4-star hotel offers a garden, a library and an inviting breakfast room. It is a short walk from the marketplace and the Goslar Imperial Palace. Free WiFi access, free mineral water and cable TV are provided in all rooms at the Hotel Alte Münze. Some rooms feature antique furniture, stone walls and extra-long beds. A large breakfast buffet is available in the new building, which dates back to 2018. Guests can relax in the cosy lounge with library, or can take a seat in the pretty courtyard garden. Many restaurants are within a short walk. Mönchehaus Museum is just a 3-minute walk away, and Goslar Train Station can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. There is additional parking available at a location near the hotel. Guests can enjoy hiking and cycling in the surrounding Harz Mountains. The Granestausee (Grane Dam) is 3 km away.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location in the heart of Goslar. The room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The breakfast was outstanding with a great variety of fresh and high-quality food. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

Historic hotel in the heart of Goslar next to the Marktplatzkirche, with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a beautiful old room with frescoed vaulting. Comfortable beds. Sumptuous breakfast and an excellent dinner in the restaurant.

“Perfect for Christmas market holiday”
They’re a beautiful cozy traditional vibe. We absolutely loved our stay there. Feels like a whole way from home with all the beautiful heritage and Christmas market it’s just two minutes walk!

The location. We had an room upgrade which was lovely. The original room wasn't as shown in the booking picture. Clean newly refurbished, but small and fairly dark, so very pleased to be moved Good selection at breakfast.
