Overview
Set in a historic Benedictine monastery from 1174, Klosterhotel Wöltingerode is situated on the green outskirts of the Goslar, on the edge of the Harz Mountains. It offers 2 restaurants and a romantic cloister garden with ancient trees. Klosterhotel Wöltingerode has non-smoking rooms with solid wood furniture and modern bathrooms. All rooms include a flat-screen TV, a telephone, free WiFi and a private bathroom with a shower and WC. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Goslar. This is an ideal base for hiking or jogging along the monastery footpath, as well as cycling and exploring the Harz Mountains and nearby cultural attractions. Outdoor activities can also be arranged for groups. In the Klosterkrug à la carte restaurant, located on the ground floor of the annex, guests can enjoy traditional German dishes, seasonal specialities and a sense of the monastic tradition, and the à la carte restaurant serves modern dishes. This is also a romantic setting for weddings or a stylish setting for family or business events. Klosterhotel Wöltingerode is a good base for exploring the Harz Mountains. The hotel is easily accessible via the A7 and A395 motorways, the B6n road or from Vienenburg Train Station. The historic spa town of Bad Harzburg is only a few minutes away by car.

The breakfast had a lot of choices, and the food was really good. It is a bit expensive at 22 EUR per person.

Wonderful use of an old monastery. Nice big rooms and very quite between the rooms because of the thick stone walls. Very nice breakfast were you also can make your own waffles. Own tea station with pots you brew yourself. Lovely grounds to walk around on, with water, big old trees and wild animals if you are lucky to see some.

“Nice place to stay”
It's a nuce place to stay. It has character and it is different. The room was very clean. They allowed me to check in very laye, providing good instructions, and the key was easy to get.

“A fantastic, fairytale like location, great food and service, and stunning ambience.”
Amazing location in this converted convent to a hotel. Rooms are kept simple, but the overall building and interior are extensive and well-kept. It has a beautiful ambiance and pretty much all one would need on a romantic/weekend getaway, festivities, or seminars. The breakfast was superb and one of the best we had in a long while. Additionally, there is a small hiking trail throughout the whole property with animal farms, distillery, brewery, and farm shop. Dinner at the connected brewhouse was also excellent, featuring local produce and products. Honestly, worth a stay and certainly staying there again if in the area.

“Love this place and can recomend it 100%.”
Beautiful place! The room was very nice, very good breakfast, helpful staff. The restaurant had very good food and very serviceminded staff. We will be back for shure.
