everything was absolutely perfect. the owner was very pleasant. the breakfast was excellent. it was the best accommodation we have ever visited.

“a beautiful B&B”

The location is excellent, the guest house is in the courtyard going out into a tiny street; you can sleep with the window open, listening to the crickets. My room was Poesia, absolutely sufficient for one person and all their needs. There were no problems in sharing the bathroom. Every bit of the B&B is clean like new. The breakfast was excellent and there was always juice, milk, joghurt, fruit, coffee, and tea available. Everything is super safe, as you get multiple keys to the front door, facilities, gates, even a little flashlight, all packed into a small bag so you dont lose it. The owners are super friendly and at your disposal at all times.

“Relaxed”

It is located out of the busy town but close enough to reach it by foot or on a local bus. You are surrounded by country site with views over the hills and lots path ways around, suitable for bikes too. I was walking there every evening when the temperature was cooler, the sunset was spectacular. I have chosen this accommodation because of the distance to Slovenia and Solcano, as I was visiting some WW1 sites. There is also The walk of peace near by. The breakfast was exceptional. You would have a choice of eat/shop for a food in Italy or Slovenia, as it takes only fw minutes to cross over. There is also a garden which is a little gem. when you can sitting and relax. It is a perfectly safe place for a single traveller. I loved everything about this place. If you like nature this would be a place to stay.

For those who use public transport to see the border between Italy and Slovenia. From Gorizia train station, take bus 1, stop monte santo 96, but only one in two buses will get you there. The inn has a breakfast service that includes coffee and a variety of breads and fruits. Juice, tea, and milk are also available for self-service. The location is near the Transalpina train station in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. Via the settlement of Salkan, it is a short walk to the shopping center near the train station. If you go to Slovenia rather than Italy, you will have access to restaurants and large supermarkets in close proximity. The innkeepers have dogs and cats and seem to do agritourism as well. It is suitable for those who want to spend a relaxing time in nature. However, if you go to the town of Gorizia or the train station in Gorizia every day, you might want to stay in town.
