Dating back to the 18th-century, Mälby Säteri B&B is surrounded by forest and 75 metres from a private bath house and beach area on Lake Sillen. Central Gnesta is 6 km away. Each individually decorated room at Mälby Säteri is set in an annex and has shared bathroom facilities. Some feature a fireplace or views of Lake Sillen. Shared facilities include a TV lounge, balcony and garden with BBQ. Mälby also provides a daily breakfast and can assist with rental of canoes and bicycles. Stockholm city centre is a 1-hour drive away, while Solbacka Golf Club and hiking trails along the Sörmlandsleden are within 25 km of the property.

I came here by bike. The host was so flexible and helpful as well as others. The location is calm and beautiful and my room (small single bedroom) has a lake view. It is simple and village style exactly what you should expect, and it is clean and tidy! The main building is few hundred years old and if you meet Anders he may give you a good history about it! The romm in which the breakfast was served was also very nice and old school! The wooden sauna experience next to lake was unforgettable! I will come here again!

“Unique stay in old manor”
Very good and cosy, oldfashioned dormitory facility, located in an impressive manor site. Fantastique exclusive breakfast served inside the manor building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Don't forget to ask about the sauna by the lake.

“Excellent - will definitely return!!”
Fabulous unspoiled location in the Swedish countryside, surrounded by forests, fields and farms, with cattle, sheep and beautiful poneys!! Private lake for swimming and relaxing, yet very near to Gnesta station (direct to Stockholm City and Arlanda airport). Authentic country home with very welcoming and helpful owners. Delicious and copious breakfast in an amazingly elegant dining room overlooking the lake. Room and bed very clean and comfortable.

“Interesting stories told by the host during a good breakfast.”
The B&B is rather basic, in an old house, which has it charm. The main house itself is a jewel of the past. The host had nice stories to tell. The breakfast room was very beautiful.

“A wonderful and unique manor house offering guests a fine visit”
A family manor and farmstead with ancient barns in a picturesque setting, with the feel of a grand stately home featuring a rich history and an authentic character of bygone days. The grounds lead down to a swimming beach and a beautiful lake. Lovely large room with own fireplace and wood provided. We were able to prepare a simple evening meal in the kitchenette located on the same floor. Excellent Swedish breakfast with special fruit preserves and friendly attentive hosts. The Dining Room has been created with an original antique tile stove (kakelugn) commanding a splendid high ceiling space.
