“Nice hotel, but disappointing communication and attitude”

We were genuinely surprised – and not in a good way – by the overall treatment. This is a small boutique hotel in Girón, yet they act as if they were a Hilton. Right after booking, we received a message saying we had to pay within 30 minutes or the reservation would not be valid. That number is only for payments – if you want to notify them of your arrival time, they tell you that’s not the right contact and offer no alternative. You can message via Booking, of course, but it’s a strange and unwelcoming experience. Breakfast is only from 6 to 8 am (absurdly early, with no flexibility), and there’s a big sign at reception saying "If you stay after checkout (12 pm), you’ll be charged for the full next night." The tone and communication throughout felt unreasonably harsh. The hotel itself is nice – clean rooms, decent breakfast – but the overall attitude really takes away from the experience. Would really suggest to start treating guests in a nice manner.

We loved everything about our stay! The room was great and the hotel was beautiful. Our breakfast was delicious and everyone was so friendly.

“Great location in Giron, a nice colonial town near to the airport.”

Nice property right next to the main be square but still quiet as accommodation at the rear. We only stayed overnight as had early flight to catch. The owner kindly organised a taxi for us and got up at 4.30 to see us off.

The location is very good, right by the main square. The staff were very friendly and the young daughter could speak English. We had to leave early before breakfast but they kindly provided something to take away. The airport was a 15-20 minute drive away. We were flying back to Bogota and decided to stay in Giron instead of Bucaramanga. It was a good choice and Giron is a lovely place for an afternoon and evening.

Beautiful location, the breakfast was amazing and the staff was very helpful and sweet. My parents and I lived it, we would stay again at Ayenda if coming back to Giron

Good for a short stay in Girón. Nice atmosphere and decoration. Reasonably-sized room. Next to main park. Excellent alternative option instead of staying in Bucaramanga.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely, with a beautiful view over the garden. It is right in the centre of Giron. I'm cycle touring and I overpacked, ooops. The lady has kindly offered to post a few items down to Bogota for me :-)

We arrived at Giron at night, from the airport. The place is very easy to find, parking is included. As it was closed after 21.00, they found another place for us to keep the car safe. The accomodation is very clean, it has air conditioning and fan (required as it was hot) and the breakfast is tipical Colombian one

Giron is a beautiful little town and the property was lovely. It was really clean, the staff were lovely. we had a nice room with a small balcony overlooking the back garden patio

This is a lovely little hotel with friendly staff and well situated in Giron for calle 29 (where the bridges are) and the main square. Our room was very nice and had good a/c. The location of the hotel is accurate on google maps and it was easy to find.
