A lovely little home for a few days in a great location in Kyoto. Spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really quiet yet walkable to so many sites and restaurants. 1-2 mins walk to subway. Very comfortable and well designed apartment with a wonderful welcome from Yuko who is happy to help with anything you need. I’ll certainly book again 😀

“Loved our stay!”

Loved the location in a quiet little street with lots of eateries close by. Short walk to buses and trains. The room for our family was amazing and we loved our stay. Had everything we needed and enough space for the 4 of us. The host was very helpful and great at introducing us to the room and the surrounding area with a map and recommendations. Would definitely love to come back to Kyoto and stay here.

Located on a beautiful quiet street right in the city centre. There are many popular sights within walking distance and also it's close to the metro station to easily get to sights further from the city centre. The apartment was lovely. It had everything we needed. Yuko was very helpful giving us lots of information about Kyoto and spoke perfect English. Would definitely stay here again.

We liked Sakara so much, we planned a trip back to Kyoto and stayed again! Absolutely beautiful area. Yuko was so helpful and recommended some excellent places to get breakfast in the neighbourhood. Super comfy bed, my partner has back issues and we both slept like babies.

The split level room was great for my older daughter and I as it gave us some privacy so very spacious for Japanese accommodation. The location was also excellent and there were plenty of eateries close by.

Yuko was an excellent host

There's plenty of space and everything is very convenient. The kitchen has everything you need. The large bed is on the upper level and you have to climb some steps to get to it. This wasn't a problem for me, and I even really liked that we could separate and sleep separately. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room. The location is convenient, with transportation nearby to get anywhere or just walk. The staff responded quickly and helped with all questions.

“A treehouse adventure in a wonderful hotel”

Our family of 5 loved Sakara. Based in a lovely area of Kyoto. Yuko is very knowledgeable and helped us with all our queries. The rooms are great and my family loved the tree in the room. The hotel is very conveniently located next to the train station and many of the main routes to all the sites. We stayed for the Gion festival Matsuri festival and we were within easy walking distance to experience this without being too overwhelmed by the festivities. The main shopping precinct is lovely

Staff was very pleasent and helpfull, they give us some tips and recomendations. We came before our check in time and they let us leave our suitcases in the lobby so we can walk around Kyoto without bags. The also helped us with filling out the forms and shipping the suitcases from their accomondation to another one in Hakone so we didn't have to drag bags around. :) The accommondation is in a quite and beautiful alley. Almost all major attractions are accessible by foot so you can beat the crowd and be alone if you are able to get up before first trains start arriving ;)

The location was excellent. Loved the little alley and the coffee shops and canal nearby. The room was nice and well equipped with the garden view.

Excellent location and the apartment is cosy and comfortable. I appreciate how well equipped the apartment is :) and the host was very nice with accommodating my check in. Would totally recommend this place!
