“Fantastic!”
Amazing home that feels authentic and gives you a great feeling of stepping into traditional Japanese culture and history. It has a great location right by the river, close to everything you need yet still being quite and calm. Our host was amazing and took the time to sit and talk to us, answer many questions and accompanied us to dinner in Kyoto. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing stay. It was a fantastic experience to enjoy the entire traditional Japanese house in a very quiet area, facing Kamogawa, but again really close to Shinjo Kirawachi. The host has very good tastes in interior design and providing the servicing items such as shampoo, tea, the tablewares and the bedding. The welcome gifts are also well-chosen (and the hand writing card is touching), and then I bought a large box of such sweeties in Takashimaya for my own. The stay is luxury (in a good way) and really comfortable. A mixure of modern living and traditional place. If I come to Kyoto next time again, this will, with no doubt, be my choice.

“Unforgettable Experience in Kyoto Townhouse by the River”
Beautiful and historic townhouse. The location was brilliant walkable to Pontocho and main Kyoto shopping street. Most importantly, it was by the river and absolutely gorgeous views during the Sakura Bloom!

The perfect house! I've been to Kyoto 3 times and this room is the most Japanese style I've ever experienced. I highly recommend anyone reading this review to book this room. It's right next to the Kamo River, with a great view and a great location, and the fact that it doesn't face the street means it's quiet, which is rare in the city center. The landlord is very enthusiastic and all our requests can be fulfilled. The house has 3 large rooms, suitable for a family or a group outing.
