“Charming, historical, quiet -- the most unique and peaceful of our lodging choices in Sri Lanka”
This place has history -- you can see it and feel it. For a quick adventure-focused visit to the area, this was a perfect place to stay for us. Relaxing, quiet, and a vibe like we were on a tea plantation 100 years ago. Beautiful pool with a stunning panoramic view. While we were focused on adventure days, this would also be a nice place to sit by the pool and read - and just be. We had a very rainy evening and enjoyed the restaurant for dinner.

“The best accommodation in Sri Lanka”
Hands down the best accommodation in Sri Lanka we have booked during our trip. Very big room with private terrace, clean pool, amazing view. However, the best about this accommocation is the stuff, they are SUPER friendly and ready to help you with anything you need. They organized amazing adventures (canyoning, rafting and waterfall abseiling) for us ahead of our arrival. They work with the best and most proffesional company in town - their guides went through official training. We stayed here for longer just because of the atmosphere!! Also the food here is very tasty and they serve alcohol (beer, wine, spirit) if you want to :)

“Oasis in the hills”
The location is simply stunning. Views from the terrace, the pool and the room are incredible regardless of weather. Pool is in a garden setting where the tea bushes meet to edge of the garden. Food good and not unreasonable. Staff very attentive rooms simple and old world charm but all in keeping with the hotels age.

This hotel is a hidden gem, in colonial style with big rooms and even bigger balconies. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean and well maintained. From the pool there was a spectacular mountain view.

All is terrific. Hands down an excellent and exquisite stay in a vintage English (German?) estate amidst the tea and an overwhelming scenery of pristine jungle. Swimmingpool; cold beer; hot shower; huge rooms; grand vistas; very friendly staff. A breather; an oasis...

I loved the colonial feel of a bygone era, the vistas of tropical mountains, tea plantations, the peacefulness and tranquility, the lovely pool, the manicured gardens, the delicious fresh fruit salad and organic vegetables and most of all the amazing welcome and hospitality
