Stunning property, beautiful 2 bed villa with an amazing view. Location was good for Aberdeen waterfall, white water rafting and Adams peak. Staff were friendly. Food was delicious. Lots of activities to do from the property. Good yoga. Upon arrival we had a Lovely arrival ceremony. Tea and a blessed bracelet. If booking a taxi be very specific with the time you want as they booked it later than asked because they wanted us to relax. But they did book for us.

“Perfect Nature Escape”

Stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it. The hotel is surrounded by jungle with a river running alongside which makes the setting very peaceful. We only stayed for one night but to really enjoy the full experience, at least two nights would be ideal. The suites closer to the river seem to have the best views. The food was delicious and authentic and the manager was very helpful and guided us throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

The location is jungle with the river alongside. Located on 3rd floor, room balcony provided excellent view and feel of bring in jungle canopy. Staff very attentive & pleasant. The Aberdeen waterfalls stunning. An additional cost, but well worth it. Discovered owner donates profits to charitable causes, including cancer hospitals. Employs local people. Made the experience a real feel-good.

It’s in the mountains immersed in nature!

One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had! The surrounding nature and buildings are so beautiful, it is such a peaceful and relaxing environment and everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful, especially Nuwan the manager who arranged everything for me, from meals to yoga to transport. I stayed here for two nights and it was the perfect start to my Sri Lanka travels. The food was incredible, some of the nicest food I’ve ever had, super fresh and authentic Sri Lankan dishes. I did a yoga class which was great and fell asleep every night to the sounds of birds and crickets. You might even see some monkeys! I would highly recommend, no faults whatsoever.

The hotel is located in the heart of the Sri Lankan wilderness, and we were completely blown away by this place. Surrounded by nature and wildlife of all kinds, it felt like you were truly living outdoors—while still enjoying five-star accommodation. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and an absolute pleasure to be around. The food was incredible. From the fresh, delicious fruit served every morning at breakfast to the unbelievably tasty three- or four-course Sri Lankan curries we enjoyed most evenings, every meal was a highlight. I genuinely can’t recommend this place enough. If you want to escape the chaos of big cities or busy beaches and experience peace, quiet, and tranquility in the heart of the Sri Lankan wilderness, book Arsulana Eco Lodge. You won’t be disappointed!

Absolute recommendation - our insider tip about Kitulgala, Laxapana & Aberdeen Falls! This accommodation was a real highlight for us - a place where you arrive and immediately find yourself in a different world. Located in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by nature sounds and an incredibly peaceful atmosphere, relaxation is really easy. For all activities in the area, the lodge is a perfect home base: abseiling, rafting, canyoning, and trips to the Laxapana and Aberdeen waterfalls. Everything was organized by the hotel at very fair prices - including the tuk-tuk trips to the sights. You don't have to worry about absolutely anything. The entire team was exceptionally friendly, attentive and warm. Especially the hotel manager took care of everything lovingly and proudly showed us the facility. You can feel at every corner how much attention to detail there is here. We stayed in the main house, and our room was adorable. During the small tour of the grounds, we were surprised to find additional beautiful villas with private pools - at a really fair price for what you get there. Had we known this earlier, we would definitely have stayed longer and explored Kitulgala and Hatton completely from here. The food was also good and freshly prepared. Many foods are harvested right outside the door. In addition, drivers of guests also have a place to sleep.

Arsulana was a beautiful retreat to spend a few days. The facilities were well kept, beautiful setting, the staff was above and beyond excellent, and it was very good value for money.

“Amazing place in a great location”

The property is stunning. The location is great but if you take the wrong road down it can be difficult - we don’t know this as it wasn’t explained on the booking

Staff were lovely and the area its in is unbelievably peaceful. The nature is amazing, the rooms are very comfortable and the pools clean and good temperature! And the staff and everyone is very accommodating. Tuk tuks came to pick us up everywhere and we had fun white water rafting.

Arsulana, is in a beautiful setting, remote and very peaceful and totally surrounded by nature. Watching the Macaques playing at the river from our balcony was a highlight. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The manager is very nice and efficient and has lots of ideas for improvments to the hotel. We took a tuc tuc to Aberdeen falls , a short bumpy journey from the property but worth doing. We stayed 3 nights . Definitely worth it!
