Excellent freshly prepared breakfasts with wide choice of dishes. The breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming providing excellent service. Rooms very spacious, well presented and exceptionally clean. Location in the mountains near to Stressa was idyllic and convenient to explore both Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta.

Staff were wonderful before and during our stay. Good communication and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Fresh and locally sourced where possible. A delightful, tranquil location interrupted only by chimes from the bells from the local church (stops at night!), birdsong and cuckoo calls. Gignese has bars, cafes and restaurants and is within walking distance. Stresa with its lakeside promenades, shops and many restaurants is 15-20 minute drive away.

“Beautiful 1920's villa completely renovated with beautiful rooms and great views!”

Beautiful villa from the 1920's completely renovated in a very modern style. Nice big property with gate, free parking, a hot tub, and lawn chairs to enjoy the view of Lago Maggiore. The breakfast buffet was outstanding especially for Italian standards (which is usually cake with coffee). There were lots of choices also in joghurt and fruit The best part was the fresh orange juicer and the vegetable juicer. Hope they keep it as it is a lot of work for them to clean afterwards :-) We had the Tower Room ( I called it the Penthouse ;-) which was nice and spacious. The furniture & fixtures in the room and bathroom are of very high quality. The beds are very comfortable. Nice to be able to open the windows and have a view. The villa is located up in the hills just a 15 min drive from Stresa. We did a nice walk/hike through the woods up to a view point just above Gignese to the Panchina Gigante (the Big Bench) with our dog. Also the town Gignese is less than a 10 min walk from the Villa. It has a few restaurants which unfortunately we were not able to visit as one was closed and the other did not allow dogs. But enough choice along the Lake. Francesca who manages the villa is wonderful. She is very kind and helpful. We really appreciated her attention to detail and always being willing to help with any questions we had. We also loved the fact our dog was welcome on the property and in the garden. Naturally one needs to consider other guests but as we were there in off season, this was not a problem at all. We definitely will come back and highly recommend this beautiful property.

We really enjoy our stay in Gignese. The hosts were wonderful, very warm and kind. Always helpful. The place is really clean and calm, very nicely and newly renovated. Everything was just perfect.

Wonderful B&B with a stunning view and garden. We loved the kind people that welcomed us! We loved our 4 person room, perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. the beds are very comfortable and the room is well decorated. The kids loved the trampoline and the garden. We surely will return if we are close to Lago Maggiore.

Amazing location. The staff is really kind and helpful and there was great and fast communication through Booking.com and WhatsApp. The room and bathroom were spotless. Also big plus for the rain shower. Would go visit this B&B again, if I ever get the chance.
