“La dolce vita”

The location is exceptional, just s stonethrow from the buzzing city of Giarre but on this property there is completely quiet and peaceful. Just across the farm there is another local farmer selling fresh produce, homemade olive oil and wine (delicious, worth the money) The property have a large garden with amazing lemons, cale, onions, herbs, tomatoes etc The owners let us take some if we wanted and the taste was amazing. The views are something else, the bedroom you have sunrise over the sea and if you go to the entrance you have sunset over Etna. The owner (only speaks Italian ) is kind and attentive, he will define make you feel at home. He got help from a granddaughter to translate when we first arrived (fluent in English) All in all great stay.

Carmelo the host was incredible! The kindest man. I am a solo female traveller and he made sure I was well looked after on my stay. He was very informative and even though I don’t speak Italian he was able to communicate info easily with me. He even picked me up from the train station when I arrived which was super helpful as I took a trip to Taormina and back which was beautiful. The volcano view from the apartment is really close. The facilities are perfect, you have everything you need to cook and eat. And even though I don’t drink there was wine, lemons and biscuits waiting on arrival! A really nice touch. Easy access to Catania and Taormina once you are at the station. Very clean, comfy bed and a balcony. Thanks for your hospitality!
