“Perfect home style B&B with a host who cares about guests”

We stayed at Su’ro for 4 nights and highly recommend it. Not everything went to plan but Kris’s handling of it was impeccable! He is a host that genuinely wants his guests to have the best possible experience and he will do whatever he can to ensure that. So, when major roadworks were planned for the street, he notified us early and offerred the chance to cancel (we didn’t). Then when unexpected kitchen renovations impacted our stay he paid for a night in a hotel of our choice, and then compensated us further - all voluntarily. We liked the “Sandra” room on the 3rd floor and appreciated assistance with carrying luggage upstairs. The room is not large but is well fitted out with plenty of storage, a very comfortable bed and a large window for ventilation, light and an attractive view. We actually quite liked that the toilet wasn’t in the room. Lots of toiletries, coffee machine, tea etc. Breakfast was plentiful, and very good quality, even including cooked eggs, ham, cheese etc (above standard continental) The nearby 5a bus made getting around easy and Kris drove us to and from the station.

Fantastic and friendly host who do his utmost to make your stay good. Host have a service where he picks you up and leave you at the train station if talk to him. Great breakfast included and prepared by your host. Great comfortable bed. The ability loan bicycles from the host. In my opinion yes it cost a bit more than perhaps you are willing to spend but still compared to what you get and prices in central Ghent i still think it is a good deal.

We had a fantastic stay at this B&B in Ghent. Kris is without a doubt the best host you could possibly imagine. He is an incredibly warm person: from the very first moment, you immediately feel welcome, as if you are coming home. We truly felt more like guests than customers. The rooms are equipped with every possible amenity and everything was spotless. The house is beautifully maintained, the shower was excellent, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The neighborhood is also very quiet, which makes it easy to fully relax after a day in the city. Kris really went above and beyond for his guests. He kindly offered to pick us up and drive us very early in the morning so we would not have to rely on public transportation. That kind of service is very rare. As a proud local from Ghent, he knew all the best spots in the city and happily shared recommendations. Thanks to him, one could experience Ghent in a much more authentic way. The breakfast was also outstanding: delicious, extensive, and prepared with great care. This B&B is ideal for everyone — couples, people on a city trip, international visitors… honestly anyone who wants to experience Ghent with comfort, peace, and exceptional hospitality.

“Perfect spot for a short stay”

Kris was the perfect host. He communicated with us before, during and after very well. The room had everything we needed and more. A fair distance away from the centre of Ghent but easy buses, a bike or a half hour walk. It's nice to stay in a non-touristy area, and see the real city. Breakfast was great.

Fantastic stay. Warm and welcoming owner, who went over and beyond to help me, and ensure my stay was smooth as possible. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. The noise level was quiet, and a very homely vibe. Amenities were as expected, with no issues to highlight. Price was good, especially what you get. Atmosphere was relaxed.

My stay was 10/10. Kris is a fabulous host!! From the moment arrived, he gave a full explanation of how to get around the city, breakfast was such a treat every day and the room was very comfortable with added extras.

The place is very close to the city centre. Short 10 min cycle and Kris has two bicycles in good condition that you're allowed to use. Kris is a very hospitable host who makes time so guests have a nice experience in his home city Ghent. He has a self-made curated guide for you and has lots of good tips for the city as well. Breakfast with freshly made eggs (however you like) and fresh fruits. Would recommend!

“An unexpectedly lovely B&B!”

Su'ro is in a peaceful neighbourhood, at a walkable distance from the city centre. The B&B itself has a welcoming atmosphere thanks to Kris who has been a lovely host. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast perfect to get started with the day! I would definitely return if I get the opportunity to return to Ghent!

Had such an amazing few days in Gent, Kris went above and beyond with his hospitality and kindness. Room was beautiful and had own private shower and everything you need (ladies the hair dryer was amazing!) Thanks again to Kris and I hope to visit again sometime in the future

A pleasant stay in a very modern renovated house in a quiet neighbourhood. Kris made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of good tips on things to see and places to eat. Also interesting to hear about Belgium and the local culture etc. Lovely breakfast each morning.

Absolutely welcoming and approachable host, who knows how to make you feel very welcome, also if you normally feel a bit awkward in b&b's in someone's home. We felt welcome at any moment. He is interested in his guests, and he's incredibly knowledgeable about the city as well, having lots of stories and fun facts to tell. The breakfast is excellent: fresh, extensive, without being over the top. Great beds, too. The host simply knows how to run a B&B well.
