“Spacious, quiet apartment with beautiful views”

Spacious apartment with lots of beautiful views. Lovely and clean. Great location from the harbour. So lovely and quiet, we feel reset and recharged. The host’s communication was great.

The host and his representative on the island were very responsive and friendly. The apartment is in a historic place with an interesting past and surely is a one-of-a-kind experience. The view from the kitchen to the islands landscape, Għajnsielem and Nadur are interesting, but it’s not the view we expected. First it was advertised with sea view, you will see only a slice of Mgarr Harbour through a slot between the buildings and a little bit of the sea horizon over the rooftops. You will not se Malta, and not even Comino. The apartment is as far away from the direct Seaview as possible. So, if you want an appartement where you can chill and enjoy the view of Comino or Malta, this isn’t it. The only real positive experience in that stay was the interaction with the owner and his representative.

A wonderful house in a historic setting with full amenities. It is located in one of the best parts of the fortifications with spectacular views of the old bastions and sea views. The outdoor terraces/roof garden are awesome. I really enjoyed having a coffee for sunset from the upper roof garden. Kenneth was so welcome and upon arrival access to the Fort from the Gozo ferry was really easy. I met his assistant and she gave me the keys and took me directly to the property where she showed me the house and explained some basic things. The property was so clean and it is very well decorated with all rooms having different themes and décor. I really like the artworks that forms part of the interior decoration and design of the house. The unusual design of the main stairs inspired from a spiral shape is the focal point in the main living area. There are lots of interesting details which makes this property so stunning. Walking around the belvedere of Fort Chambray is so relaxing with breathtaking views of the Gozitan landscape, the island of Comino and sea views stretching up to the island of Malta. Everything was perfect and I will definitely come back to this property. It actually exceeded my expectations.

The apartment was lovely, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was very good with exceptional views. It was within walking distance to Mgarr, buses to Rabat/ Victoria, restaurants, and a good convenience supermarket. The swimming pool was very large, spacious, and very few people swimming.

I did struggle with messaging the host initially to pay the monies, I thought it would have been taken from my card stored with Booking.com however a bank transfer was required, which was a bit of a faff and I ended up paying a couple of days before staying which was a bit of a worry. I did ask for feather free bedding, but some of the pillows had feathers, luckily there were others, so was able to remove the feather ones. The host met us at the airport to hand over the keys and give us a map and communication throughout our stay was responded to quickly. The property was lovely as was the complex, very quiet and we almost had the very large pool to ourselves, therefore managed to secure some sunbeds. If it was busier, there would not have been enough and some were in very used condition. There were deck chairs and an umbrella we could use, but a sun lounger is preferred. The property had all what we needed, including beach towels, which was a bonus, I wish we new this before packing! We didn't get cleaning service throughout our 10 night stay, but could pay if we wanted it. There were recycling facilities. The property was suitably clean, but the fridge wasn't cold enough. Glad for the air conditioning. The views were amazing. You can easily walk to the property from the ferry terminal and there are a good few restaurants within walking distance. We had a car, so explored lots of the island.

Wow! What a great flat! Enthusiasm all along the line! Wanted a great place to stay in Gozo for 5 days. I had already heard of Fort Chambray, but could not imagine anything about it. On the hill in the harbour of Gozo lies the historic Fort Chambray. The view from up here is gigantic. The harbour, the ferry piers, Comino, even the Blue Lagoon and part of Malta can be seen from up here. Booking the flat was very easy and quick. The contact with Kenneth and all the information was perfectly prepared. With the handover of the keys, everything is still in written form, even with pictures, so that everything is really explained. Upon arrival and access to the fort, the mood for a great holiday experience begins. A large gate that allows access to the site is only permitted to authorised persons. Signs point the way to parking facilities. If you follow Kenneth's map, you will find the flat very quickly. As soon as you enter the flat, you feel at home. A beautiful open living area with kitchen and open staircase to the upper floor welcomes every guest. The photos correspond to the actual situation on site. Bedroom with bathroom and toilet on the first and second floor. Two more bedrooms on the upper floor and the exit to a small balcony with table and chairs. The view - gigantic! Directly onto the village of Ghajnsielem, which was celebrating its church festival during our stay. Every evening with fireworks and lots of music. We were very happy about this, as it was easy to get to the heart of the village on foot via Bethlehem Village (an area specially prepared for the Christmas season, which is a great destination in December). The festival is once a year. Otherwise, it is very quiet and relaxing in the Fort Chambray flat. A small staircase leads from the small balcony up to the large roof terrace. The view here too - wow! The wind up here was also pleasant. If you want to cool down, you can go to the pool. With a depth of 1.

The location was perfect - close to the port in Gozo. The apartment was beautiful - the photos don’t do it justice. It has a roof terrace so you can eat and watch the sunset over the island. Kenneth was an excellent host - met us with the keys and responded quickly to any questions we had. Highly recommended

We enjoyed it a lot. It actually exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect in the apartment and the fact that we lived in the actual Fort was really awesome. The swimming pools and the views were great.

We had a wonderful time at the Fort Chambray. The host was very accommodating and flexible. The rooms are large and very clean with good air conditioning, and the terrasses are amazing, although very hot during the day as there is no umbrella to bring shadow. The pool area is very clean and beautiful. Good restaurants nearby (Rexy and Guiseppe's), and a grocery store if you want to make dinner at home. Transportation by bus is easy. All in all a very good experience and we would like to return some day.
