This was an incredible place to stay. The hosts were super friendly, and picked me up from the station and did my laundry, they were very helpful and it felt like staying at the Japanese version of my grandparents! I wish I had booked more time here to stay longer. Next time! 🤗✨

“Warm Hospitality and Homely Comforts – Just Perfect!”

Everything. First of all the hosts are wonderful and super welcoming. They offered to pick me up from the station and even dropped me off when it was raining the morning I left. The moment you step in you get to experience such a homely and welcoming atmosphere. They host you in their living room and serve green tea and home grown tomatoes and snacks. You just feel home at this place. The location is perfect, you can spend a day or two just visiting this town. The room was quite big and all the facilities were top notch. The bed was super comfy and the view from the room was beautiful and the balcony was a surprise for me. Best to ease yourself during the evening or just start the day with a fresh breath of air in the morning. The bus stop is just 2-3 minutes walk and you can get buses to Gero or Takayama from there. And the train station is a 15 mins walk, from where the train runs occasionally. Both express and local trains. All over the best stay so far in Japan. I will definitely come back here again. This is an experience rather than just a stay. You get to spend a few days with such kind hosts and experience a Japanese home.

It was one of my best stays in Japan! The hosts (an older marriaged couple) are so so cute and lovely! It feels like family. They are so friendly and brought me to the Gandate Park (there are a lot of waterfalls) and the hot spring. The area around the guesthous is really quiet and there is not much to do. I liked to relax a bit and calm down at this place. There is a Lawson near to the guesthouse and you have a direct bus to Takayama and Gero Onsen.

The guesthouse is occupied by an elderly couple. Even if the communication was a bit difficult (They speak little english and I speak little japanese) they were always very kind and helpful. A free little breakfast was included every morning, and they washed and dried my clothes for me free of charge. All in all a very warm and welcoming service.
