Too far from town. Didn't like being asked to check out earlier than the advertised time. Home stay just not for me as I didn't like our room being entered while we were out.

Wonderful “different” home stay and well worth the trip to Geraldine to stay in this lovely place

Julie the host was delightful and welcoming. The place was eclectically furnished with matching decor - almost like a museum. The facilities were extremely comfortable and the garden was beautiful

Really welcoming stay in a beautiful house

Fantastic stay at a very characterful property. As well as our bedroom and bathroom we had a massive sitting room and separate breakfast room. Really enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the unique decor. Host provided excellent items for us have for breakfast; also home made sweet items to enjoy on our arrival. Thoroughly recommend as Geraldine is a good stop en route to/from Christchurch. Only regret is that our stay was only one night; would have liked another night to explore the area properly and have another breakfast!

Excellent and would happily have stayed longer than one night.

Julie is an excellent host, very convivial, providing several little extras and making us feel very welcome. The house is full of a variety of quirky ornaments and decorations to provide interest and talking points. A beautiful garden complements a beautiful, homely, characterful house. Breakfast consisted of cereals, home made granola, toast and homemade preserves, juice and filter coffee. The town has a couple of pubs and restaurants plus individual shops and a museum - easily walkable from the property.
