Overview
The family-run Hotel Zwergschlösschen is situated in the Untermhaus district of Gera, next to the forest. All rooms have lovely views of the Weiße Elster River. Rooms at Hotel Restaurant Zwergschlösschen are classically furnished. All rooms include satellite TV, a desk and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Starting from the hotel you will find many pretty hiking trails as well as the Elsterradweg cycle route to explore. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 until 22:00. It serves Thuringian dishes, seasonal specialties as well as famous beers and wines. The beer garden is a great place to relax in good weather. Guests can also enjoy vegan and gluten-free breakfast options. Younger guests are welcome to relax in the play den.

“A gem in Gera”
Clean, spacious room (family room). Bed: comfortable mattress, large bed Bedroom 1: perfect lighting, USB port at each side of the bed. Bedroom 2 (not used): I noticed the childproof plugs in the electrical sockets. Both bedrooms have a TV. Bathroom: good quality equipment, enough hooks for the towels at a convenient distance from the shower. The shower door closed tightly, no spilling on the floor. Entrance: space for a medium sized suitcase and loads of wardrobe space. Slippers in the wardrobe. Note: it looks as if the hotel was refurbished recently, everything is new. Restaurant: lovely food, I tried the vegan burger with sweet potato fries. Good regional wine selection. Might be a bit pricey for those who would like to eat on the cheap, but IMO the prices are correct for what is served. Breakfast: good selection, cappucino is served on request. They also served vegan cheese and have soy milk as alternative. Staff: friendly, competent, whether at the reception, in the restaurant or in the breakfast room. Coffee and tea, kettle, etc. in the room. The hotel is on a road, but the cars did not bother me (am a light sleeper). They provide ear plugs.

Very nice hotel at the suburbs of the town. Perfect room - fresh renovated and well equipped. Very clean everywhere. Lovely breakfast with very friendly staff. Definitely coming back

“Beautiful setting”
Away from the city in a lovely environment . Peaceful and serene. A typical German setting . Staff was polite and helpful. The rooms have been recently renovated. They look new and are clean. They also serve a full American breakfast for Euro 9 . That is real value for money .
